We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent request for job security and stability. Father God, we know that You are the Provider, the One who opens doors no man can shut and shuts doors no man can open. We ask that You would intervene in this situation and grant favor in the eyes of those making decisions. Lord, we declare that You hold every detail of our lives in Your hands, and we trust in Your perfect timing and plan.
Scripture reminds us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We stand on this promise, believing that You will meet every need—financial, emotional, and spiritual—during this uncertain time. We also recall Proverbs 3:5-6, which says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Lord, we choose to trust in You rather than in our own efforts or the shifting circumstances around us.
We pray for wisdom and peace for this dear one as they navigate this season. May they find strength in You, knowing that their worth is not defined by their job but by their identity in Christ. We also pray for those who depend on them—family, friends, and loved ones—that You would provide for them as well, should this situation take an unexpected turn.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that may be trying to take hold. We declare that "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). We ask that You would fill this person with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also want to gently remind this dear one that their ultimate security is found in You, not in their job, retirement, or any earthly provision. Jesus said in Matthew 6:19-21, "Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven... For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." We encourage them to keep their eyes fixed on You, the Author and Perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2).
Father, we ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way. If it is Your will, allow this person to remain in their position until their desired retirement day. But if Your plan is different, give them the grace to accept it and the faith to walk into the next season You have prepared. We trust You, Lord, and we thank You for Your faithfulness.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
