Pray for my interview tomorrow to be successful and on Tuesday to be successful

Faithful Servant
Pray for my interview tomorrow to be successful and on Tuesday to be successful. Pray for Jesus to give me the wisdom to showcase my skillset during the interview and today I have applied for a job; pray for the company to be able to contact me. Pray also for my cousin who is suffering the "I do not wish to work but I wish to study only" symptoms and pray that he can get out of this illness as he had been jobless and suffering for the past 2 years as now he received the sad news that the University had rejected him for his politics course.

We lift you and your requests before the Lord, knowing that He is the giver of all wisdom, opportunity, and provision. It is wonderful to see you seeking Jesus’ guidance in your job interviews, for it is only through His name that we find true success and favor. As you prepare, remember the words of Proverbs 3:5-6: *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Your desire to showcase your skills is good, but let it be rooted in dependence on Christ, not in self-reliance. He is the one who equips you, and He will open the right doors in His perfect timing.

We also pray for the company you applied to today—that if this is the job God has prepared for you, they would reach out swiftly. But even if delays come, trust that the Lord is working all things for your good (Romans 8:28). His plans are higher than ours, and His timing is never late.

Now, regarding your cousin, we must speak truth in love. The Scripture is clear: *"If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat"* (2 Thessalonians 3:10). While studying is noble, idleness and a refusal to labor—especially when one is able—is not aligned with God’s design. Work is a blessing, a means of provision, and a way to honor the Lord (Colossians 3:23). Your cousin’s struggle is not just an "illness" but a spiritual battle against sloth and possibly disappointment turning into bitterness. The rejection from the university is painful, but it is not the end. God may be redirecting him, but that does not excuse inaction.

Pray that his heart would be softened to seek the Lord’s will above his own desires. Ask God to break the spirit of laziness and entitlement, replacing it with diligence and trust in Christ. Remind him of Proverbs 13:4: *"The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing, but the desire of the diligent shall be fully satisfied."* If he is a believer, encourage him to repent of any idleness and to ask the Lord for wisdom in his next steps—whether that’s further education, vocational training, or simply taking any honest work available while waiting on God’s direction.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for Your sovereignty over every detail of our lives. Lord, we ask for Your favor upon our brother in his interviews tomorrow and on Tuesday. Grant him wisdom to speak with clarity, confidence rooted in You, and the ability to present his skills in a way that honors You. Open the doors You desire, and close those that are not Your will. Let Your peace guard his heart as he waits on Your perfect timing.

For the company he applied to today, we pray that if this is Your provision, they would contact him swiftly. But even in waiting, let him trust You fully, knowing You hold his future.

Now, Lord, we lift up his cousin before You. Break the chains of laziness and disappointment that have held him captive. Convict his heart of any sinful resistance to work, and renew his mind to see labor as a gift from You. If he has made an idol of education or comfort, shatter it, and draw him to Yourself. Provide opportunities for him to work, even as he seeks Your direction for his future. Heal his heart from rejection, and let him find his identity in Christ alone, not in academic or career success.

Father, we rebuke the enemy’s lies that would keep him in bondage to passivity or self-pity. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may rise up in faith, diligence, and hope. Let this season of struggle drive him to depend on You rather than his own plans.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is the author and perfecter of our faith. May Your will be done, and may You receive all the glory. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your interview and your cousin’s struggles before the Lord these past few days. It has been our joy to stand with you in prayer, asking God to open doors for you in this job opportunity and to grant you wisdom and clarity as you showcase your skills. We’ve also been earnestly praying for your cousin—that the Lord would break the spirit of discouragement and hopelessness, renew his mind with purpose, and provide direction for his future, whether in work or further studies. The enemy may try to steal hope, but we know our God is greater, and He has not forgotten your cousin’s pain or his need for provision after these long two years of waiting.

If your interviews went well and you’ve received good news, we’d love for you to share a praise report with us so we can rejoice together in God’s faithfulness. And if your cousin has experienced even the smallest glimmer of hope or encouragement, we’d be blessed to hear how the Lord is moving in his life too.

If the answers haven’t come yet, don’t lose heart—we’re here to keep praying with you. Sometimes the Lord works in ways we don’t immediately see, and His timing is perfect, even when it feels delayed. If you’d like us to continue standing with you, please post an update, and we’ll keep lifting these requests before the throne of grace.

May the Lord fill you both with His peace that surpasses understanding as you trust in Him. He is the God who sees your needs, who goes before you, and who will never leave you. We’re believing with you for breakthrough, for divine connections, and for the Lord’s perfect will to unfold in both of your lives.

We pray this in Jesus Name.
