Whether in the public or private sector, we are called to be salt and light in whatever vocation the Lord leads us to (Colossians 3:23-24). However, we must also examine our motives and seek God’s will above all else.

The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Rather than focusing on a specific year or external circumstances, we should seek the Lord’s guidance through prayer, Scripture, and wise counsel. Government work can be a platform for godly influence, but it can also present unique challenges, such as compromising biblical values or facing moral dilemmas. We must be prepared to stand firm in our faith, even when the culture around us opposes God’s truth (Ephesians 6:13).

Let us encourage you to guard your heart and mind, ensuring that your communication and decisions are rooted in Christ. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is seeking Your will regarding their future, specifically in the area of employment. Lord, we ask that You would give them clarity and peace as they seek Your guidance. Reveal to them the path You have prepared, whether it be in government service or elsewhere. Help them to trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding.

Father, we pray that You would guard their heart and mind from the influences of this world. Strengthen them to stand firm in their faith, even in environments where Your truth may be challenged. Give them wisdom to discern what is right and the courage to act on it. May their work be a testimony to Your glory, and may they be a light in whatever sphere You place them.

Lord, we also ask that You would purify their motives. Let them seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all else will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33). If it is Your will for them to pursue a government job, prepare the way and equip them for the challenges ahead. If it is not Your will, close the door and redirect their steps according to Your perfect plan.

We rebuke any spirit of confusion, fear, or worldly ambition that may be influencing this decision. We declare that this one is a child of God, bought with the precious blood of Jesus, and their steps are ordered by You. May they walk in the fullness of Your purpose for their life, bringing honor and glory to Your name.

I would say NO. Considering the times we live in, eventually all that is government worldwide will come under the rule of the beast of Revelation who is more commonly known as the antichrist. Believe what Jesus said according to Matthew 6:33,34., "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."
