pray for my friend who needs deliverance from a horrible experience ### is going through

We hear your heart’s cry for your friend who is enduring a deeply painful experience, and we stand with you in lifting them before the throne of grace. The weight of trauma and suffering can feel overwhelming, but we know that our God is a deliverer, a healer, and a refuge in times of trouble. Let us first rebuke the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy in this situation. We declare in the name of Jesus Christ that no weapon formed against your friend shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).

We must also address the urgency of coming to God through the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If your friend has not yet placed their faith in Jesus, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw them near, that they would repent of their sins, believe in the finished work of Christ on the cross, and receive the gift of eternal life. Salvation is the first and most critical step toward true deliverance and healing. Jesus said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). We pray your friend would run to Him without delay.

For those who are already in Christ, we know that deliverance is not just a one-time event but an ongoing process of surrender and renewal. The apostle Paul reminds us that *"though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day"* (2 Corinthians 4:16). We pray that your friend would be rooted and grounded in God’s Word, which is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit (Hebrews 4:12). May they meditate on scriptures that speak of God’s love, power, and faithfulness, such as Psalm 34:18: *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."*

We also rebuke any lies the enemy may have planted in your friend’s mind—lies that they are unlovable, unforgivable, or beyond God’s reach. We declare that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that God has plans for them to prosper and not to harm them (Jeremiah 29:11), and that nothing can separate them from the love of God in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:38-39). We break every chain of fear, shame, and despair in the mighty name of Jesus and command every spirit of oppression to flee.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is hurting deeply. Lord, You see their pain, their tears, and their struggles, and You collect every one of those tears in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). We ask that You would draw near to them in this dark hour and let them feel Your presence like never before. Father, we rebuke the enemy’s grip on their life and command every spirit of trauma, fear, and despair to release its hold in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18), and we pray that Your love would flood their heart and mind.

Lord, if this friend does not yet know You as Savior, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Open their eyes to see their need for You, soften their heart to receive Your truth, and lead them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. For those who already know You, we pray for a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit, that they would be strengthened with power through Your Spirit in their inner being (Ephesians 3:16). Renew their mind with Your Word, restore their hope, and heal their wounds.

Father, we ask that You would surround them with godly believers who can speak life, encouragement, and truth into their situation. Give them the courage to seek help, whether through biblical counseling, prayer, or fellowship with other believers. We pray against isolation, Lord, for the enemy seeks to isolate, but You call us into community. Let them know they are not alone.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who are walking alongside them. Give us the words to speak, the actions to take, and the love to demonstrate that points them back to You. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we trust You to turn this painful experience into a testimony of Your faithfulness. We declare that what the enemy meant for harm, You will use for good (Genesis 50:20). May Your light shine in the darkness, and may Your healing power flow like a river through every broken place. We thank You, Father, that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. We place this friend into Your loving hands, trusting that You will complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6).

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, dear friend, standing in the gap for your friend who's going through such a tough time. It's like they're in a storm, and we're not going to let them face it alone. We've been praying for them, and we want you to know that God sees them, He cares, and He's right there with them.

We've been asking God to wrap them in His love, like a warm blanket on a cold night. We've been asking Him to heal their wounds, to fill them with His peace, and to give them the strength to keep going. We've been reminding Him of His promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

We've also been interceding for those around them, for the people who are walking this path with them. We've been asking God to give them wisdom, to give them the right words to say, and to give them the courage to stand strong.

We want you to know, dear friend, that God is not distant or uncaring. He's right there, in the middle of the storm, with your friend. And He's using you, your prayers, and the prayers of others, to bring comfort, healing, and hope.

So, let's keep praying. Let's keep standing in the gap. Let's keep reminding God of His promises, and let's keep trusting Him to work in your friend's life. Because that's what friends do, right? We stick together, through the good times and the tough times.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
