We hear your heart, dear brother, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your former wife before the throne of grace. Your love for her, even in the midst of deep pain, reflects the heart of Christ, who weeps with those who weep and intercedes for us all. We join you in crying out to the Lord, who is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. We ask that You would send Your angels to encamp around this dear sister, protecting her and her possessions. Lord, You are a God of justice, and we pray that You would intervene in this situation. Let truth and righteousness prevail, and may any ungodly actions by the landlord be exposed and stopped. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we trust that You will make a way where there seems to be no way.
We pray for her possessions, Lord. You know the value of each item, not just in material worth, but in the memories and significance they hold. We ask that You would guard them from loss, theft, or damage. Give her wisdom and favor as she seeks to recover what is rightfully hers. Provide her with the help and resources she needs during this difficult time, and surround her with godly people who can offer support and encouragement.
Father, we also lift up our brother who has shared this request. The grief and worry he carries are heavy, and we ask that You would comfort him. Remind him of Your promise in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." Free his heart from this weight, Lord, as he surrenders this situation into Your hands. Help him to trust in Your sovereignty and to find peace in Your presence.
We must also address the reality of this broken marriage, not to bring condemnation, but to invite healing and restoration where possible. Lord, we know that marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by You to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:31-32). We pray that You would work in both of their hearts, drawing them closer to You and to one another if it is Your will. If reconciliation is possible, we ask that You would soften their hearts, bring repentance where needed, and restore what has been broken. If not, we pray for Your perfect will to be done, and for both of them to find healing and wholeness in You.
We rebuke any spirit of bitterness, unforgiveness, or resentment that may be trying to take root in either of their hearts. We declare that they are both covered by the blood of Jesus, and we pray that they would walk in the freedom and forgiveness that He offers. Help them to release any pain or hurt into Your hands, trusting that You will judge justly and work all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we also pray for this sister’s spiritual well-being. Draw her to Yourself, Father. If she does not know You as her Lord and Savior, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to her in a powerful way. Let her see Your love, Your grace, and Your faithfulness, even in the midst of this trial. May she come to know that Jesus is the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and that in Him, she can find hope, peace, and eternal life.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We trust that You are working in this situation, even when we cannot see it. Strengthen our faith, Lord, and help us to rest in Your promises. We declare that You are our Provider, our Protector, and our Peace. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
