We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up this situation with a desire for justice and righteousness to prevail. First, we must address the request for harm upon this individual with great caution and reflection. While we understand the pain and injustice you have experienced, we are called as believers to pray for our enemies and those who persecute us, not for their destruction. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." This does not mean we ignore the wrongdoing, but we trust God to bring about justice in His perfect way and time.
We rebuke the ungodly actions of this former manager in the name of Jesus. What he has done is not only illegal but also contrary to the principles of integrity and righteousness that God calls us to uphold. Proverbs 21:15 says, "It is joy to the righteous to do justice; but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity." We pray that the Lord would expose his deeds and bring them to light, so that justice may be served according to the laws of the land and the standards of God’s Word.
Lord, we ask that You would intervene in this situation. If this man continues in his unrepentant ways, we pray that You would disrupt his plans and thwart his efforts to perpetuate injustice. Let his schemes be brought to nothing, and let him face the consequences of his actions. We pray that he would be removed from his position of influence where he can continue to harm others, not out of a spirit of vengeance, but so that others may be protected from his ungodly behavior. Romans 13:4 reminds us that governing authorities are "God’s servants, agents for good. But if you do what is wrong, be afraid, for they don’t bear the sword in vain. They are God’s servants, an avenger for wrath to him who does evil."
We also pray for this man’s heart to be softened. Ezekiel 33:11 says, "As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why will you die?" Lord, we ask that You would convict him of his sin and draw him to repentance. Let him see the error of his ways and turn from his wickedness, so that he may find mercy and restoration in You.
For you, who have suffered injustice, we pray for healing and peace. It is not easy to endure wrongdoing, especially when it has cost you so much. But we take comfort in knowing that God sees all and will not let the righteous go unrewarded. Psalm 37:5-6 says, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go out as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun." We pray that God would restore what has been taken from you and bring you into a place of blessing and favor.
We also encourage you to seek wise counsel and take any necessary legal steps to address this injustice. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." Do not carry this burden alone, but lean on the support of godly believers and authorities who can help you navigate this situation.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You would bring truth to light and expose any corruption or wrongdoing in this matter. Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream (Amos 5:24). We trust in Your sovereignty and Your perfect timing. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it all. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to bring about true justice and redemption. Amen.
