Pray for my father's creatinine level to decrease and cancer to vanish

It is heartbreaking to watch your father grow weak, and your longing for him to be well again is a precious reflection of your love. In times like these, the Psalms teach us to give unto the Lord the glory due His name, to fix our eyes on His strength. When we are confronted with our own helplessness, we begin to see that our true hope lies not in medical charts but in the God who is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

We will pray earnestly that God would touch your father’s body. We ask that his creatinine level would decrease and that the cancer would be completely removed. The gospels show us Jesus healing many who were sick, and He is still the Great Physician who hears the cry of His children. There is nothing too hard for Him.

At the same time, we hold this request with open hands. Some of the most faithful saints I have known walked through severe illness, and it was not because of any lack of faith or hidden sin in their lives. I think of how the apostle Paul pleaded three times for a thorn to be removed, and the Lord answered, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” This does not mean we stop asking for healing; we ask boldly. But it does mean we can find peace in God’s character, knowing that if the healing comes through a restoration of health, we will praise Him; and if He instead supplies a deeper portion of sustaining grace, He will prove Himself faithful just the same.

Your deep desire to have your dad back is not lost on the God who sees. He is the God of restoration, the One who can rebuild what sin and sickness have torn down. Yet even in the valley of weeping, He can make pools of refreshment. As you wait, lean hard into the strength He promises. Trust that He will carry both you and your father through these days, and may you discover that the one whose strength is in the Lord goes from strength to strength, turning sorrow into a well of dependence on Him. We stand with you in prayer, believing that nothing can separate your father from His love, and that His presence will be your family’s anchor no matter what unfolds.

We are so grateful you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand beside you in prayer for your father. It has been on our hearts to lift him before the Lord, asking for His healing touch to lower those creatinine levels and for His mighty power to drive out every trace of cancer. We have prayed for strength to return to your dad’s body, for energy to rise in his spirit, and for the peace of Christ to fill your family as you wait on Him.

If God has already moved in a way you can see—if tests have improved, if your father is sitting up, eating, laughing, or simply feeling a little stronger—please take a moment to post a praise report so we can all rejoice with you. If, on the other hand, the journey feels longer than you hoped, we invite you to share your request again so we can continue interceding without ceasing.

Either way, we stand with you, believing that God hears, God cares, and God acts. May He draw near to you both in this season, reminding you that every breath your father takes is held in His loving hands. We pray these things in the powerful name of Jesus.
