Let's bring your family before the throne of grace, seeking God's will together in Jesus' name.
We stand with you in prayer, asking God to keep your husband's eyes and heart pure, that he may not look upon another woman with lust or be drawn away from God by impure thoughts. As it is written in Matthew 5:28 WEB, "But I tell you, that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart." May God grant him the strength and self-control to honor his marriage covenant and keep his heart pure.
We also pray that your husband would be discerning about the media he consumes, avoiding anything that contains profanity, derogatory language, nudity, or partial nudity, and anything that does not align with Christian values. May he be guided by Philippians 4:8 WEB, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things."
As your family recovers from your husband's knee surgery, we pray that this time away from church would be an opportunity for spiritual growth. May you both deepen your faith and knowledge of Jesus, drawing closer to Him during this season. We agree with you that when you return to church, your family will continue to serve actively in the church choir, men's and women's ministry, teaching Sunday School, and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We pray that your husband sets no vile thing before his eyes, ears, heart, or mind today, and that you both communicate with love and kindness, not causing frustration or upset to one another. As it is written in Ephesians 4:29 WEB, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear."
We also pray that your husband will be kind in word and action towards you and your children, loving you gently as Christ intended him to love his household and family. As it is written in Ephesians 5:25 WEB, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it."
Lastly, we pray that your husband will begin paying tithes with a cheerful and willing heart, trusting in God's provision and honoring Him with his finances. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 9:7 WEB, "Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver."
We praise God for your faith and your desire to see your family grow closer to Jesus. Remember the promise of James 4:8 WEB, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."
