We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious elderly man who is suffering with fluid in his lungs, cardiovascular problems, and blood clots. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and redeems our lives from destruction. We ask for Your miraculous healing touch upon him right now. Lord, we declare that by Your stripes, he is healed, as Your Word promises in Isaiah 53:5, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed." We rebuke every spirit of infirmity and sickness in Jesus' mighty name and command his body to be made whole.
We are deeply concerned about the salvation of this dear man and his entire family. Lord Jesus, we pray that You would open their eyes to see the truth of the Gospel and soften their hearts to receive You as their Lord and Savior. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that they would come to know You intimately, for You alone are the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Father, we ask that You would break the chains of idolatry in this family. We rebuke every false god and idol in their home, and we pray that they would turn away from these abominations and turn to You, the one true God. As it is written in Exodus 20:3-5, "You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them."
We also lift up this man's wife, son, and daughter, asking that You would comfort them in this difficult time. Lord, we pray that You would grant them peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We ask that You would give them restful sleep and the strength to face each day, trusting in Your goodness and mercy. Father, we know that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We pray that this family would come to love You with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You would intervene in this situation and provide the necessary medical care and wisdom for the doctors treating this man. We pray that You would guide their hands and give them discernment as they seek to help him. Lord, we know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We trust in Your perfect plan and timing, and we ask that You would be glorified through this situation.
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
