Pray for my daughter

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, please let me keep legal custody of my daughter ### so I can teach her and eduate her, let her grow a good person and very devote to you. I ask this in name of Jesus. Amen.

We hear your heartfelt plea and stand with you in prayer, lifting up your daughter and this custody situation before the throne of grace. Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, knowing that You are the ultimate Judge and the One who holds the hearts of kings and authorities in Your hand (Proverbs 21:1). We ask that You intervene in this legal matter, granting favor and wisdom to all those involved in the decision-making process. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in this situation.

Lord, we pray for your daughter, that she would grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man, just as Jesus did (Luke 2:52). We ask that You surround her with Your love, protection, and guidance. May she come to know You intimately and develop a deep, personal relationship with You. We pray that she would be rooted and grounded in Your Word, growing in her understanding of Your truth and Your ways.

We also lift up your desire to teach and educate her in the ways of the Lord. Father, we know that parents are called to bring up their children in the training and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). We pray that You would grant you the wisdom, patience, and strength to fulfill this calling. May your home be a place where Your love and truth are evident, and may your daughter see Christ in you.

In this time of uncertainty, we ask that You would be her peace and her comfort. Remind her that You are always with her, and that You will never leave her nor forsake her (Deuteronomy 31:6). We pray that she would find her security and identity in You, knowing that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).

We also pray for the other parties involved in this custody situation. We ask that You would soften their hearts and open their eyes to see Your truth. May they be guided by wisdom and discernment, and may they ultimately seek Your will in this matter.

Father, we know that You are a God of justice, and we trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect plan. We ask that You would work all things together for good, according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We pray that Your name would be exalted, and that Your kingdom would come in this situation.

In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to trust in His promises. Remember that He is your strength and your shield (Psalm 28:7), and that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Lean on Him in this time, and allow Him to carry your burdens (Matthew 11:28-30).

We also encourage you to seek wise counsel from your local church community. Surround yourself with believers who can support you, pray with you, and offer godly advice. Remember that you are not alone in this journey, and that the body of Christ is here to uplift and encourage you.

Lastly, we want to remind you of the importance of teaching your daughter about the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Share with her the good news of the gospel, and help her to understand that it is only through faith in Jesus that we can have a relationship with God and receive eternal life (John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9). Pray with her, read the Bible with her, and model a life of faith and obedience to God. May she grow to love and serve the Lord with all her heart, soul, mind, and strength.

We are praying with you as you walk through this custody process, it's easy to hear how much you love your daughter and how earnestly you want to shape her life for Christ. That kind of desire is not lost on God, and you are not alone in carrying this.

When courts decide custody, they look at each parent's home, stability, and ability to love and guide the child well. Often they order an evaluation where you're interviewed, sometimes with your daughter. It can feel invasive, but it's really about finding what's truly best for her. In that setting, nothing speaks louder than being the steady, faithful parent you already are. Instead of pointing out the other parent's flaws, focus on your own consistency, your bond with your daughter, and the values you want to nurture. Staying child-centered, showing you're thinking of her needs, not just your own, often helps the evaluator see clearly.

We also want to gently remind you that while you wait for an outcome, your daughter is already learning from you. She sees your prayerfulness, your perseverance, and your love even in hard moments. That quiet witness is shaping her, no matter what a judge decides.

Let's pray together now.

Lord Jesus, we ask you to guard this mother and her daughter right now. Give the judge and any evaluator wisdom to see clearly what will serve this child best. Grant this mother a calm heart, gracious words, and a trust that outlasts fear. May your peace watch over her home, and may her daughter grow up safe, loved, and devoted to you. In your name we pray, amen.

The petition trembles upon the very edge of a great promise, and you must now take hold of it with a strong grip. The shield of faith must be well handled, for the enemy aims a sharp blow at your sword-arm, seeking to disable you from this holy service of rearing a child for God. When the law of the land and the courts of men seem as a thicket of thorns, faith is not to be laid aside as a thing for summer weather, but must burn through the long darkness like a fire that no deluge can quench.

Consider that woman of great faith who came to our Lord for her daughter, vexed of the devil. She had no promise in her hand, only a cold delay and a seeming rebuff, yet she would not be dismissed. Her faith laid hold and would not let go until Christ himself marveled at it, saying, “O woman, great is your faith!” That mother’s faith prevailed for her child, and the torment fled. You have a far sweeter ground to stand upon, for you are asking nothing less than that your daughter be brought up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, which is a petition pleasing in His sight.

But mark well: the faith that saves and brings down blessings is a sanctifying faith, never a dead and fruitless thing. It is not enough to cry out for custody if your trust does not now prove itself by holy patience and a calm composure amidst the strife. A Christian woman should not be afraid with any amazement, for faith laughs at the threats of the world and the suggestions of the adversary. The life of faith receives Christ, and the walk of faith shows Him forth. So must you walk in Him as you stand before judges and whisper to God in the very face of the accuser. According to your faith, so be it unto you; this is the rule of His kingdom.

Drop down now into those everlasting arms. Prove your faith by casting the whole weight of this trial upon Him who orders all things. The least faith in Jesus is precious, but the exigency demands that you rise from the tremor of a grain of mustard seed to the daring of the woman whose daughter was made whole. Lay hold on the promise that all things are possible to the believer, and bring it home as your shield. Trust in Him, and though mountains of legal opposition stand before you, you shall find them removed.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask prayer that you may retain legal custody of your daughter, so you can teach her to be good and devoted to God. This is a good desire, and the Lord hears the cries of a parent’s heart. But remember the woman of Canaan who came pleading for her child; our Lord did not grant her request at once, yet He praised her great faith and said, “Be it unto thee even as thou wilt.” It was her persistent trust, not the legal standing, that brought deliverance. So pour out your soul in prayer, but do not rest your hope upon human judges or the frail outcome of courts.

Let your daughter see you clinging to Christ, and your faith will be her strongest lesson. For even if the law should fail you, no earthly decree can snatch from her the instruction you have planted in her heart. The true custody is won when you train her to love God above all things, to flee from the tyranny of passions and the empty feasts of the world. Seek first that she be adopted into the household of God through Christ, for that adoption is eternal and no judge can revoke it.

Then, whether or not the legal right remains, she will be yours in the bond of the Spirit, and you will see her made whole by the same faith that sustains you now.
