Dearest Abba, Father,

You discipline me because You love me.

Help me understand that Your disciplining me

will produce fruit of the Spirit in me and

will drive me closer to Jesus.

Your discipline is very much measured

and is for a season bringing about

Your purpose in my life.

Abba, give me a heart of cheerful surrender,

one that gladly receives Your discipline.

Father, whatever it takes,

make me more like You.

Bring forth a harvest of righteousness

and peace in my life.

Help me to follow Your ways and not my own.

Help me to commit to the changes I know

I need to make in my life.

And let me experience You guiding

and encouraging me every step of the way.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.
