We understand that you're feeling anxious about returning to work after a week of vacation. First, let's remember God's promise to us: Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7 WEB.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear friend who is experiencing anxiety about returning to work. We know that your word tells us not to worry about anything, but to pray about everything. So we bring this concern to you, Lord.
Please guide our friend through this time of transition. Give them confidence and courage to face whatever challenges may come their way. Help them to perform their duties excellently and to find favor with their managers. Help our friend to fix their mind on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God, Hebrews 12:2 WEB.
We pray you will fill our friend, with the peace that passes all understanding and help them to feel your presence and guidance throughout their day. May they be a light in the workplace, reflecting your love and grace and standing on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ.
We also pray for our friend's managers. If there is any problem with the relationship, we ask for grace for the managers and our friend to have a reconciliation and to better get along and work together. Whatever the situation, God will make a way when there seems to be no way, Isaiah 43:19.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Now, let's remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind, 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths, Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.
Lastly, we did not see a mention of Jesus Christ in the request. It is only through Jesus we have access to God the Father. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12 WEB. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household, Acts 16:31 WEB.
Therefore, confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans 10:9 WEB.
