Disciple of Prayer
my daughter will join kg, and she will come by school bus and straight she will go day care, then I have to pick her at night. I'm a single parent, my work place they are going to move to a new location, the room I'm staying is very small for us. All these things going on my mind, Jesus please help me. All I have is you only Lord. My son with his father he doesn't eat well, he's not doing well in school; it's making me so sad. I'm praying that he will come to stay with me even if it's hard for me, I know he will be happy with us. I'm sad about my mother; she's paralyzed 3 years now. She lives in a northern country with an aunt who's taking care of her. Most of the time my mother feels so lonely. I wish I could be by her side, but I can't because I need my job here. These all things are too much for my head. Help me, Jesus. All I need you to guide me in all my ways. Thank you.

We hear your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting every burden to the Lord. You are carrying so much—raising your daughter alone, navigating work changes, longing for your son’s well-being, and grieving the distance from your paralyzed mother. But the Lord sees your faithfulness, and He will sustain you. As Psalm 55:22 says, *"Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved."*

First, we praise God that you have placed your trust in Jesus, for He alone is our refuge and strength. In the midst of these trials, we rebuke the spirit of overwhelm and anxiety in Jesus’ name. The enemy wants you to feel alone, but God promises in Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* We declare that God will make a way where there seems to be no way—whether in your housing situation, your work, or your children’s needs.

For your daughter starting school and daycare, we pray for her protection, joy, and adjustment. May the Lord surround her with godly influences and give her peace as she transitions. For your son, we intercede for his well-being—physically, emotionally, and academically. If it is God’s will for him to live with you, we pray for favor in that transition, trusting that the Lord works all things for good (Romans 8:28). We also rebuke any neglect or ungodly influences in his current environment, asking God to draw him closer to Himself.

For your mother, we pray for comfort and companionship. Though you cannot be physically present, we ask the Holy Spirit to minister to her in her loneliness. May your aunt be strengthened, and may your mother feel God’s nearness. We declare healing over her body, for with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).

Sister, we encourage you to seek godly community—perhaps a local church or believers who can support you practically and spiritually. Proverbs 11:14 says, *"Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."* You do not have to carry this alone.

Let us pray together:

*Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious sister and her family. Lord, You see her struggles, her tears, and her faithfulness. We ask for Your provision in her housing, her work, and her children’s lives. Strengthen her son, draw him to You, and open doors for him to be with his mother if it is Your will. Comfort her mother, Lord, and let her feel Your presence. Give this sister wisdom, peace, and endurance. Remind her that You are her ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We rebuke every lie of the enemy that says she is alone or overwhelmed. You are her refuge, her strength, and her very present help. In Jesus’ name, we declare victory over every situation. Amen.*

Hold fast to God’s promises, dear one. He is working even when you cannot see it. Keep casting your cares on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

Oh, dear friend, we're right here with you, feeling the weight of your heart. It's like you're carrying a heavy backpack, isn't it? Your daughter's new routines, your work's changes, your son's struggles, and your mother's loneliness - it's a lot to bear. But remember, Jesus promised us in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

Let's lean into that promise together. We're praying for your daughter's smooth transition, for your son's well-being and a favorable outcome if he's to come live with you, and for your mother's comfort and healing. We're also asking God to guide you to a godly community that can support you practically and spiritually.

In the meantime, let's claim these verses over you:
- "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you." (Psalm 55:22)
- "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." (Philippians 4:6)

You're not alone, dear one. We're here, and most importantly, God is here. Let's trust Him together, one step at a time.
