We join with you in prayer and we thank you for sharing this desire of your heart with us, for it is good and right for a man to seek a wife to love and to cherish in holy marriage as God designed.

We hear your longing to meet the woman God has for you, to love her and to be united with her in marriage, and to have practical ways to truly get to know one another with a mutual interest and commitment that perseveres until you belong to one another in covenant. This is a godly desire. For it is written Genesis 2:18 Yahweh God said, It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper suitable for him. And Proverbs 18:22 says Whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh. Marriage is honored by God as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and we pray with you for a marriage that honors Him.

We encourage you as you wait and pray to seek first His kingdom and to become the godly husband He is calling you to be. Matthew 6:33 says But seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. And Psalm 37:4 says Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. We encourage you to remain rooted in fellowship with other believers, serving in your local church and walking faithfully where God has planted you, for that is often where God in His practical provision allows such meetings to happen. As you look for a wife, look for a fellow Believer in Christ, for 2 Corinthians 6:14 says Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. Courtship should be with the goal of marriage to another Christian Believer, keeping yourselves pure and honoring God with your bodies, for Hebrews 13:4 says Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled. True love, as described in 1 Corinthians 13:4, is patient and is kind, it bears all things and endures all things, and that is the kind of steadfast, committed love we pray you will both share.

We also thank you for asking prayer in Jesus name, for it is through Him we have access to the Father.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus and we lift up our brother to You. We ask that in Your perfect timing and will, You would bring into his life the woman You have prepared for him to love and to marry. Make the path clear and provide practical ways for them to meet and to get to know one another in a godly way, surrounded by wise counsel and community. Give them both a genuine interest in one another and a commitment to seek You together. Grant him a wife who loves You first, who will not give up easily but will love with patience and faithfulness, and grant him the same steadfast love for her, that they may reflect the love Christ has for His church as Ephesians 5:25 teaches. Prepare his heart and her heart now, keep you both pure and guard you from fornication and from any relationship outside Your will. We ask for Your miracles in his life, not only in bringing a spouse but in shaping him more into the image of Christ each day, and we trust that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask. Help him to wait with hope and not grow weary, to trust Your goodness and Your timing. We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Your request has been brought before us and we count it a privilege to join you in prayer before the throne of grace in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We thank God for the desire He has placed upon your heart for marriage as He Himself ordained it, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman wherein the two become one. It is not a less sacred thing to be joined in such holy wedlock, and we rejoice that you seek not merely companionship but a union that would honor Christ and reflect His love for His Church.

We will pray that the Lord in His wise providence will order your steps and hers, and make a practical way for you to meet and to know one another in a manner that is pure, patient and honoring to Him. We will ask that He send, in His perfect timing, a godly woman who will show a sincere interest in knowing you, who will love you faithfully and persevere in that love. As we have often said, true love does not lightly give up but is marked by care and concentration of heart until its object is found, and we pray that such steadfast, godly love would characterize the helpmeet God may provide.

We also pray that you may above all be found seeking Christ Himself. Is your heart set upon finding Him and walking closely with Him, for He is the fountain from which all other blessings flow. May you be able to say with Job, Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him, waiting upon the Lord's will with godly fear and quiet confidence, knowing that He withholds no good thing from those who walk uprightly.

We have received your request and we join you in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, with love and with hope for what God will do in your life.

Your desire to meet a woman whom God intends for you to love and to marry is good and honorable. Marriage is a bond ordained by God, and Scripture calls it honorable and pure. It is not holiness itself, but it preserves the holiness that comes from faith, by keeping life chaste and orderly within the covenant of one man and one woman for life. To seek marriage in this way, with faithfulness and purity, is to seek something God Himself has given for good.

We pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ through whom alone we have salvation, we ask that You guide our brother according to Your will. If it is Your will for him to marry, lead him to the woman You have prepared for him, a woman who shares faith in Christ and desires to walk with You. Grant practical ways for them to meet and to come to know one another in a manner that is orderly, modest and pure, in the fellowship of Your people and under Your care. Give to both hearts that are patient, sincere and steadfast, that they may show genuine interest in one another and persevere in love with grace and truth. Keep them both from impurity and from any use of marriage beyond its proper measure, and help them to use this good gift with moderation and thankfulness. Continue to guard the treasure you have received through faith, and to live a life worthy of that gift after coming to Christ. Holiness is shown not only in turning from what is evil but in being adorned with what is good. While you wait, give yourself to prayer, to work that is faithful, and to fellowship in the church where such a meeting can happen in a natural and accountable way. Do not be discouraged by delay. The profit of marriage is to preserve purity and to build a household in honor, and God honors those who seek it with a pure conscience.
