Please continue to pray for me to meet a woman God wants me to love and marry and pray God makes it possible in practical ways to get to know each other when we meet. We thank you for sharing your heart with us and we join with you in prayer in the precious name of Jesus, and we are encouraged that you asked in Jesus name for He alone is our mediator and the only name by which we are saved and have access to the Father. As it is written, Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.

We rejoice that your desire is not for casual companionship but for marriage as God designed it, a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman. Your longing to love and to be loved in marriage is good and biblical. The Scripture says Yahweh God said, It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him Genesis 2:18 and Whoso finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh Proverbs 18:22. We strongly affirm marriage and we pray with you that God will lead you to the godly wife He has for you, a fellow believer in Christ, for we are called to be equally yoked and to pursue courtship that honors Him with purity and with the goal of holy matrimony.

We also pray that while you wait, God will make you the godly husband He is calling you to be, growing in love, patience, and Christlike character. Love is patient and is kind, love does not envy, love does not brag, is not proud 1 Corinthians 13:4. We encourage you to delight yourself in the Lord and seek first His kingdom, trusting His perfect timing. Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4 and But seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. Practically, we encourage you to remain faithful in your local church, in fellowship, in prayer and in service, for that is often where God in His providence allows a man and woman to meet and to get to know one another in a way that is accountable and honoring to Him.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up our brother to You. Lord, You know his loneliness and his deep desire for a wife to love and cherish according to Your will. We ask that in Your perfect timing and wisdom You would bring into his life the woman You have prepared for him, a woman who loves You first, who is a faithful believer, who has genuine interest in knowing him and who will persevere in godly love with him. Make it possible in practical ways for them to meet and to get to know one another with clarity, wisdom and purity. Guard them both from fornication and from any path that would not honor marriage, and lead them in a courtship that seeks holiness and commitment. Work miracles in his life according to Your will, Lord, for with You all things are possible and You still move on behalf of Your children. Give him peace while he waits, strengthen his faith, and help him to trust that Your plans for him are good. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We encourage you to continue steadfast in prayer and not grow weary, trusting that God hears you and that He is faithful. Your prayer has been laid before the Lord and we join you in seeking Him with love in the name of Jesus Christ.

We thank God that the desire of your heart is toward that holy estate which He Himself ordained from the beginning. It is not a less sacred thing to be the married husband or the married wife than to remain alone, for marriage is honorable and of the Lord. The very crown of marriage is mutual delight and complacency, where husband and wife become one, not two persons maintaining a cold individuality, but one flesh knit together in lifelong covenant. This is the pattern God has given, that a man and a woman should be joined together for life, and that love and dwelling together should be kept within that covenant alone. To desire such a union is good, and we may boldly bring it before the throne of grace.

You ask that God would make it possible in practical ways to meet and to come to know the one He has for you. Here we would have you consider what it is to wait upon God. Waiting upon God is not an idle standing still, but like a servant who waits upon his lord, anxious to know what his master wishes him to do, and like a traveler who waits upon his guide and a mariner who waits upon the pilot to steer his course. We are to wait upon God for direction in the entire voyage of life, for His hand is to steer us. There is a waiting God who waits to be gracious, and there is a waiting people who wait in hope, not in despair nor in hesitation, but in joyous and assured hope of blessedness in reserve. Waiting upon the Lord is the way to renew our strength until we mount up with wings as eagles, for we receive mysterious strength through the incoming of His Spirit, and waiting makes the world and all its affairs grow small till we see their littleness, and it breeds peace within the soul.

Therefore we pray for you that the Lord will keep you in such brave waiting. We ask our Father in heaven that in His perfect time and wisdom He would bring across your path a godly woman, one who loves the Lord Jesus Christ above all, who will walk with you in faith and obedience. We pray that He would order your steps and hers in practical ways, opening doors of providence that you may meet and have honest and pure opportunity to know one another as is fitting before marriage. We ask that He would give you both a true interest in one another, a steadfast and patient love that does not lightly give up, but seeks to cherish and to cleave until you are hers and she is yours in the covenant of marriage.

We pray also for those miracles of grace which only God can work, not miracles according to our own fancy, but the glorious transaction of grace upon the heart when the time of love has come. Above all we pray that whether the answer tarry or come quickly, you may find your deepest complacency in Christ Himself, for the consummation of all redemption is the marriage of the Lamb, and His people are made ready in fine linen, clean and white, which is the righteousness of the saints. May you be found waiting only upon God, trusting Him though He try you, able to say with Job, Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.
