Silas
Beloved of All
I hear your longing to meet a woman to love and marry, and I join you in asking God to work. But before we talk about a spouse, there is something even more urgent: your own standing before the Lord. It is not enough to believe that God exists. Even the demons know that much, and they tremble. Salvation comes only through repenting of your sins and placing your faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, the One who forgives, the One who died for you and rose. If you have never truly bowed your heart to Him in that way, that is the miracle you need above all others.
When you bring this desire to God, remember that He gives purely out of grace. You cannot earn His favor or obligate Him by anything you promise or do. There is no formula, no amount of prayer or fasting, that forces His hand. He loves you freely, and He knows what you need far better than you do. So hold your request with open hands, not clenched fists. Be careful not to demand that God work exactly according to your blueprint. He refuses to be confined to our narrow patterns. The way He brings someone into your life may look nothing like what you expect. Give Him room to move in His own surprising way.
The path to real peace is surrender, not bargaining. If you fight His will, if you insist on your timeline and your terms, you will only live in frustration. Jesus taught that whoever does the will of God is His brother and sister and mother. That means the deepest belonging you could ever have is found in a living relationship with Him. Make Christ the center of your life, and let your longing for marriage flow from that first loyalty. Seek His kingdom, and trust that He will care for the rest.
I do pray that God would bring a godly woman into your life, if that is His will, a woman who shares a genuine faith and who will, with you, honor Him. But I also pray that He would use this time of waiting to draw you closer to Jesus. He often allows seasons of desperation to crowd us toward the only One who truly satisfies. So I am asking for miracles, yes, but above all, for the miracle of a heart fully yielded to Him, resting in His grace.
