We hear your heart’s longing for a godly marriage, and we join you in lifting this desire before the Lord in Jesus’ name. Marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray that the Lord would prepare your heart and the heart of the woman He has for you, aligning both of your paths in His perfect timing.

Father, we ask You to bring a woman into ###’s life who loves You above all else, a woman of faith, wisdom, and godly character, as described in Proverbs 31. May she be someone who seeks Your will and delights in walking with You. You have asked prayer that you might meet a woman to love and marry. Truly, it is not a less sacred thing to be the married wife than it is to be the virgin consecrated to Christ. Yet first I would set before you that grand word, “Prepare to meet your God.” Oh, that you might meet with Jesus today! Oh, that Jesus would meet with you! It is a rule, with very few exceptions, that what a man fishes for he is most likely to catch. Fish for grace to meet Him, and in meeting Him, all else shall be ordered aright.

You speak of miracles. Consider the miracle of the loaves. Christ is grand in emergencies, and He displays His power spontaneously, without need of pressing or even prompting. The power of Christ to rescue and to bless does not lie in the person, it lies wholly in Jesus Himself. Nobody can work this mighty miracle of mercy but the Lord Jesus Christ, yet He can do it more swiftly than I can speak of it. Is there anything in this miracle that can comfort you? Well, now, do you not see in this miracle much that may comfort you?

The best way of life for any young man is to follow the road in which godly principles would conduct him. One of the most intense desires of every godly man is that there may be a succession of godly men. Seek first the kingdom, and as for the rest, remember we never encounter a difficulty but we resolve it by appealing to the wisdom of God, never meet with any opposition but what we overcome it by leaning upon the power of God. His children shall have a place of refuge. Lay hold on that! There is a refuge for you somewhere, Christian, even in the matter of ordinary Providence! Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him. A Christian is a miracle, a mass of miracles, and when you meet the bride He has prepared, it shall be another miracle of His grace. Only go and meet God now, prepared to meet Him through the blood and righteousness of Jesus Christ your Lord, and trust Him for all beside.

You ask for prayer to meet a woman, and for miracles to arrange this meeting. But consider what truly draws the soul to God and to godly union. The Jews followed Christ not because they saw the miracles, but because they ate the loaves and were filled. They sought the gift, not the Giver. Do not make the same error. The greater miracle is not the sudden appearance of a spouse, but a life so ordered by virtue that it shines brighter than any sign. Job amazed the devil with no miracle, only with endurance. David was a man after God’s own heart before any public wonders. So form your character after these examples.

Seek first to be a man with whom a godly woman may find Christ and not be hindered in her devotion. For marriage is not given merely for comfort, but to be a union in the Lord, with chastity and honor. If you demand that she will not give up until you are hers, you invert the divine order. Rather, present yourself as one so faithful and stable that her interest is rightly fixed on Christ in you, not on a human persistence that may become idolatrous. Do not ask that God bend her will to your timetable. Instead, ask that He conform both your wills to His, in whatever time He sees fit.

And do not despise the waiting. Many who chased signs fell into pride and perished, as Simon did. The miracle you need is not extraordinary in the world’s eyes, it is the daily dying of self, the patience of Job, the boldness of a blameless life. If God delays, it is not neglect but training. Marriage brings much secular engagement. Use this leisure for prayer, for service to the saints, for becoming a man so dedicated that you may attend upon the Lord without distraction. That is the true beginning of miracles: not a sudden meeting, but a soul made ready for whatever gift Christ brings. So pray that you may desire not the loaves alone, but the Giver of the feast. Then, whether He gives or withholds, your will becomes His. That is the only miracle you truly need.

Your desire for a godly marriage is good; God Himself designed the union of husband and wife to be a lifelong, practical picture of Christ and the church. Yet every right human relationship must flow from a living, personal relationship with Jesus. Before we ask for a spouse, we first ask that our own hearts are fully at home in Him. The vertical axis settles the horizontal plane, and when that is in place, all other loves find their proper balance.

The Scriptures show us that God often left room for His grace to work in unexpected ways. The law made provision for healing a leper, even though no cure existed, because God would not be boxed in by what looked impossible. So I will pray that you meet a woman who truly desires to know you and who will not give up easily. But I also pray that you trust the Lord’s timing and His practical means. He can arrange circumstances that look mundane on the surface but are quietly miraculous. Just as His Son spoke with authority over every demonic force, He is able to clear away any hindrance and lead you and this woman into a place of genuine getting-to-know-each-other.

Remember that singleness itself is not a waiting room; it is a field of service. Paul commended it as a good gift for those who can receive it, a season of undivided devotion to the Lord. If you marry, you have not sinned, and it is right to long for that companionship. But even now, your daily life can display the same kindness, patience, and compassion that make a marriage thrive. Hold onto Jesus closely, not out of desperation for a spouse, but because He alone is the source of your peace. As you walk with Him, He will direct your steps and may bring someone across your path when you least expect it.

I am praying that God will open the right door, that He will give you wisdom to recognize the woman He has for you, and that when you meet, practical details like time, location, and mutual interest will fall into place under His hand. Do not try to force the outcome; give God the freedom to work in His own way. He makes all things beautiful in His time.
