The desire for marriage is a good thing, but you ask amiss. You seek for God to send you a woman and to work miracles for your meeting, but have you considered what kind of man you are becoming while you wait? When the crowds sought our Lord, He rebuked them, saying they sought Him not because they saw miracles but because they ate the loaves and were filled. They were concerned with the fleshly satisfaction, not the spiritual sign. Is your prayer any different when you fix your heart on a romantic meeting and a woman who will not give up on you, as if that were the great miracle? The greater wonder is a life that shines with virtue, an endurance firmer than adamant. David was a man after God’s own heart while yet young, and no dead body did he raise. Job amazed the devil with no miracle but a steadfast life. You ask for miracles to happen in your life, but the far greater miracle is the soul that masters its desires and draws near to God without such signs. That is the miracle which makes God your debtor, while the working of outward signs often harms the proud and the unwary.

You ask also that the meeting be made possible in practical ways. Here there is wisdom in not deferring marriage indefinitely while chasing after wealth or some perfect circumstance. The root of many evils in this matter is the love of money. But more must be said. Do you pray for a chaste bride, and are you preparing yourself to be a sober and God-fearing husband? If a young man grows wanton before marriage and learns the ways of harlots, even the most honorable wife becomes unpleasing to him; he seeks again the dissolute laughter and base words, and the home is thrown into disorder. A wife of free estate is not given for indecency but to be a partner in life, to keep the house and instruct her husband in gravity. Pray rather that God would make you the kind of man who values such a wife, one whose desire is governed by the fear of God, so that the marriage may be truly honorable, the bodies pure, and the offspring full of blessing. Do not labor for the meat that perisheth, nor for a union sought after the flesh, but seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and then this desire, if it be for your salvation, will be added in His time and His way.

Your request to meet and marry a woman God has for you is honest and important, and I will lift it before the Lord with you. But as we pray, let's remember that the most vital thing is not that you find a wife, but that God Himself is the true center of your life. Jesus preached the good news of the kingdom, calling people to repent and believe. That must come first. God loves you far more than you know, and He sent His Son to redeem you from sin and bring you into a living relationship with Him.

Praying for a spouse can be filled with hope, but also with danger if we start to think we can obligate God. Some try to make promises or even fast as if they could earn a miracle. God never works on the basis of our merit. Whatever He gives comes purely from His grace. So don't think you have to negotiate with Him or prove yourself worthy. Instead, simply trust His goodness and surrender your will to His. There's a paradox: victory is found in giving up your own plans. When you stop fighting His will for your life and let Him lead, you triumph.

The Lord isn't limited to our patterns. He might bring someone into your life in a way you wouldn't expect, so stay flexible and open. The Scriptures even left room for God to heal leprosy when it was considered incurable. He loves to work where we have no resources of our own. So yes, pray for practical ways to meet and for a woman who genuinely wants to know you, but don't dictate how God must do it. He knows you better than you know yourself, and often He uses seasons of waiting to draw us closer to Jesus and to prepare us.

Remember that simply believing in God isn't enough. Even the demons acknowledged Jesus as the Holy One of God, yet they were not saved. Salvation is found in surrendering to Jesus as Lord, turning from sin, and trusting His death and resurrection for forgiveness. Only God can forgive sin, and Jesus proved He is God. So make sure your hope is anchored there first. When the kingdom of God is truly at the center of your life, all other things fall into their proper place.

Pray for miracles, yes, but also rest in His timing. He has not forgotten you. I'll pray that He sends the right woman, one who will not give up on you, and that He makes the path clear. More than that, I pray you'll know the peace of being fully His, whether married or single, and that His will becomes your deepest joy.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, making His face shine upon you and giving you His peace.
