We come before the Lord with a heart full of hope and trust in His perfect timing and plan for your life. You have called upon the name of Jesus, and we know that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We are grateful that you have acknowledged Him, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
Father God, we lift up our brother to You, asking that You would prepare his heart and the heart of the woman You have for him. We pray that she would be a godly woman, one who loves You with all her heart, soul, mind, and strength, and who will love him as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). Lord, we ask that You would bring them together in Your perfect timing, and that You would make a way for them to meet and get to know each other in practical and godly ways.
We pray that this woman would have a genuine interest in getting to know our brother, and that she would be patient and persistent in pursuing what You have for them. Help them both to seek You first in all things, trusting in Your plan and purpose for their lives. "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33).
Lord, we also pray for miracles in his life. We know that nothing is impossible with You (Luke 1:37), and we ask that You would move mightily on his behalf. Open doors that no man can shut, and close doors that are not of You. We trust in Your sovereignty and goodness, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
We must also address the importance of pursuing marriage with a biblical foundation. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by You, Lord, for a lifetime commitment (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). We encourage our brother to seek a spouse who shares his faith in Jesus Christ, for "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). Courtship should be entered into with the goal of marriage, honoring You in all things, and keeping the marriage bed undefiled (Hebrews 13:4).
Father, we ask that You would guide our brother in his pursuit of a godly marriage. Help him to be patient and to trust in Your timing, knowing that You have a plan for his life. Give him wisdom and discernment as he seeks to honor You in his relationships. We pray that You would bless him abundantly and surround him with Your love and peace.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
