We hear your heartfelt request and lift it before the Lord with great compassion and hope. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. We thank You for this brother in Christ, who seeks Your will in finding a godly wife—a woman after Your own heart who will walk with him in faith, love, and purpose.
Lord, we ask that You would prepare his heart and the heart of the woman You have chosen for him. May she be a woman of faith, wisdom, and virtue, as described in Proverbs 31:10-12: *"Who can find a worthy woman? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband trusts in her. He shall have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life."* Father, let their meeting be orchestrated by Your divine hand, in practical and miraculous ways, so that they may recognize one another as gifts from You.
We pray against any spirit of loneliness, impatience, or doubt that may try to discourage him. Remind him that Your timing is perfect, and that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6). Guard his heart from pursuing relationships that do not honor You, and give him wisdom to discern Your will in every interaction.
Lord, we also ask that You would soften the hearts of those around him—family, friends, and even strangers—so that they may be instruments in bringing them together. Open doors of opportunity for them to meet in ways that glorify You, whether through church, ministry, or other godly communities. Let their courtship be marked by purity, respect, and a shared commitment to Christ, as they seek to honor You in their relationship.
We rebuke any fear or anxiety that may try to take root in his heart. Instead, fill him with Your peace, knowing that You are his Provider and that Your plans for him are good (Jeremiah 29:11). May he trust in You with all his heart and lean not on his own understanding, acknowledging You in all his ways so that You may direct his paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Father, we also pray for the woman You have chosen for him. Strengthen her faith, refine her character, and prepare her to be a helpmeet who will walk alongside him in love and submission, as Scripture teaches (Ephesians 5:22-24). May she be a woman who fears You and delights in Your Word, so that together they may build a marriage that reflects Christ’s love for the Church.
We declare that no weapon formed against this union shall prosper, and that every tongue that rises against it in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Let their love story be a testimony to Your goodness and faithfulness, drawing others to You.
