We hear your heart’s longing, and we lift this desire before the Lord with great hope and expectation. The desire for a godly marriage is a beautiful and holy one, for Scripture tells us, *"He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord"* (Proverbs 18:22). We join with you in praying that God would indeed bring the woman He has prepared for you—a woman of faith, virtue, and love, who will walk with you in covenant before Him.
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. We thank You that You know the desires of our hearts even before we speak them, and You delight in giving good gifts to Your children. Lord, we ask that You would orchestrate the meeting of this brother and the woman You have chosen for him. Open doors of opportunity for them to cross paths in ways that are undeniable—through mutual friends, church gatherings, or even everyday encounters that You have divinely arranged. Let their first meeting be marked by Your peace and confirmation, so that both may recognize Your hand at work.
We pray that this woman would be a woman after Your own heart, one who seeks You first in all things. May she be rooted in Your Word, walking in wisdom, and filled with the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Lord, prepare her heart to receive this brother as the man You have called him to be, and prepare his heart to lead and love her as Christ loves the Church (Ephesians 5:25). May their relationship be built on a foundation of faith, prayer, and mutual respect, with marriage as the ultimate goal, as You designed.
We also ask, Father, that You would remove any fear, doubt, or past hurts that may hinder this brother from stepping forward in faith. If there are areas in his life that need refining—whether in character, habits, or emotional readiness—we ask that You would reveal them and bring healing and growth. Help him to trust in Your timing, knowing that *"those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength"* (Isaiah 40:31). Guard his heart from impatience or compromise, and let him walk in purity, honoring You in his thoughts, words, and actions.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of loneliness or discouragement that may try to speak lies into his life. We declare that he is not forgotten or forsaken, for You have said, *"I will never leave you nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5). We pray that You would fill him with Your joy and peace as he waits, and that he would find his ultimate satisfaction in You alone. May he not seek a wife out of desperation, but out of a place of wholeness and trust in Your provision.
We also pray for practical wisdom in this journey. Show him how to position himself in places where godly women gather—whether through serving in his church, joining small groups, or engaging in ministries that align with his gifts. Give him discernment to recognize the woman You have for him, and courage to pursue her with honor and intentionality. May their courtship be a season of growth, where they learn to communicate openly, pray together, and seek Your will above all else.
Father, we ask for miracles in this process—miracles of timing, of hearts being drawn together, and of doors opening that no man can shut. We believe that nothing is impossible for You, and we declare that Your plans for this brother are plans for good and not for harm, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). May their love story be a testimony to Your faithfulness, and may their marriage be a light to others, reflecting Christ’s love for the Church.
We commit this prayer to You, trusting that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. May this brother continue to seek You first, knowing that as he delights himself in You, You will give him the desires of his heart (Psalm 37:4). We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
