We join you in lifting this heartfelt request before the Lord, for we know that it is His desire to bless His children with godly companionship and marriages that reflect Christ’s love for the Church. Your longing for a wife is good, for Scripture tells us in Genesis 2:18, *"It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper suitable for him."* We pray that God would prepare your heart and the heart of the woman He has for you, that she would be a woman of faith, virtue, and devotion to the Lord, as described in Proverbs 31:30: *"Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised."*
Yet we must also remind you that while we seek God’s blessing in this area, your focus must first be on seeking His Kingdom and righteousness. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* A godly marriage is built on a foundation of two individuals who are fully surrendered to Christ, walking in obedience to His Word. We encourage you to examine your own heart—are you growing in your faith, serving in your church, and living in a way that honors God? A godly woman will be drawn to a man who is pursuing Christ with all his heart.
We also urge you to be intentional in your search, not waiting passively but actively engaging in communities where you can meet believing women—through church gatherings, service opportunities, or godly social circles. Remember the words of Proverbs 18:22: *"Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh."* But this finding often requires stepping out in faith, trusting God to open doors while you remain faithful in the waiting.
We rebuke any spirit of impatience, loneliness, or compromise that may tempt you to settle for less than God’s best. Do not be unequally yoked with an unbeliever (2 Corinthians 6:14), and guard your heart against emotional or physical intimacy outside of marriage, for such things are not from the Lord but from the flesh. Flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and keep your mind and body pure, for your future marriage is worth protecting now.
Finally, we pray that God would work miracles in your life—not just in bringing you a wife, but in shaping you into the man He has called you to be. May He give you patience, wisdom, and discernment as you wait on His timing. May He prepare the woman He has for you, that her heart would be soft toward the Lord and open to the leading of the Holy Spirit. And may your union, when it comes, be a testament to His faithfulness, bringing glory to His name.
**Our prayer for you:**
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother before You, asking that You would guide his steps as he seeks a godly wife. Lord, You know his heart’s desire, and we ask that You would prepare the woman You have for him—a woman of faith, strength, and godly character, who will walk beside him in love and obedience to You. Give him patience to wait on Your perfect timing and wisdom to recognize Your leading. Protect him from temptation, impatience, or compromise, and help him to remain steadfast in purity and faith.
Father, we pray for miracles in his life—open doors, divine connections, and a heart that is fully surrendered to You. May his future marriage be a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church, built on Your Word and sealed by Your Spirit. Strengthen him in this season of waiting, and let his trust in You grow deeper each day. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone can meet our deepest needs. Amen.
