We join you in lifting this heartfelt desire before the Lord, for we know that it is God who ordains marriage and brings two lives together in His perfect timing. Your longing for a godly wife is a beautiful reflection of the design He established from the beginning, when the Lord said, *"It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him"* (Genesis 2:18, WEB). We pray that your heart remains steadfast in trusting Him, for *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5, WEB).
As we pray for the woman God has prepared for you, we also encourage you to actively seek her in the places where godly women gather—within the church, in service to the Lord, and among those who share your faith. Remember, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). A marriage rooted in Christ is one that will endure, for *"a cord of three strands is not quickly broken"* (Ecclesiastes 4:12, WEB). Pray that she is a woman of virtue, as described in Proverbs 31, who *"fears Yahweh"* (Proverbs 31:30, WEB) and whose heart is devoted to Him above all else.
We also pray for your preparation during this season of waiting. Use this time to grow in your walk with Christ, to serve Him faithfully, and to become the husband He has called you to be—a man of integrity, love, and leadership, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her (Ephesians 5:25). Ask the Lord to refine you, to remove any idols from your heart, and to fill you with His Spirit so that when He brings this woman into your life, you are ready to lead her in godliness.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who longs for a wife. You know his heart, his loneliness, and his desire for companionship. Lord, we ask that You prepare the woman You have chosen for him—a woman of faith, of strength, and of devotion to You. Bring them together in Your perfect timing, and let their meeting be marked by Your divine favor. Open doors for them to know one another deeply, in purity and with honor, that their relationship may be built on the foundation of Your Word.
We rebuke any spirit of impatience, doubt, or fear that may arise as he waits. Fill him with Your peace, knowing that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28). Let miracles unfold in his life as he trusts in You, for nothing is impossible with You (Luke 1:37). Surround him with Your love and let him feel Your presence daily, that he may not grow weary in waiting but instead rejoice in the hope of what is to come.
We also pray for protection over his heart and mind. Guard him from the temptations of loneliness, from seeking companionship outside of Your will, or from compromising Your standards. Let him remain pure in thought and deed, for *"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God"* (Matthew 5:8, WEB). May his life be a testimony of Your faithfulness, and may his future marriage bring glory to Your name.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You make it abundantly clear when the time is right. Let there be no confusion, no hesitation, but a deep assurance in his spirit that this is the woman You have chosen for him. Bind their hearts together in Your love, and let their union be a reflection of Christ and the church.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray, trusting that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.
