We join you in lifting this request before our Heavenly Father, who knows the deepest desires of your heart and has a perfect plan for your life. It is beautiful to see your longing for a godly marriage, as Scripture tells us in Genesis 2:18, *"It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him."* Marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God, and we pray that He will guide you into a relationship that honors Him, reflects Christ’s love for the Church, and aligns with His Word in every way.
Your request for a woman who will not give up on you is a reminder of the steadfast love described in 1 Corinthians 13:7, where love *"bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."* We pray that God will prepare both your heart and the heart of the woman He has for you, so that your union will be rooted in faith, patience, and selfless devotion. Remember, though, that while it is good to desire companionship, your ultimate fulfillment must come from Christ alone. As Psalm 37:4 says, *"Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* Seek Him first, and trust that His timing is perfect.
We also encourage you to be intentional in your own walk with the Lord. A godly marriage begins with two individuals who are fully surrendered to Christ. Prepare yourself now by growing in faith, purity, and leadership, as Ephesians 5:25-28 instructs husbands to love their wives *"even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for her."* If you are not already actively involved in a Bible-believing church, we urge you to find one where you can serve, fellowship, and meet like-minded believers. Proverbs 18:22 reminds us that *"Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh."* But this often happens when we are faithfully living out our calling in community with other believers.
We must also address the importance of purity in this season of waiting. If you have struggled with lust, pornography, or any form of sexual immorality, now is the time to repent and seek accountability. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 declares, *"For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God."* A marriage built on holiness starts with a commitment to purity before marriage. Flee from temptation and guard your heart, for out of it flow the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23).
Lastly, we rejoice that you invoked the name of Jesus in your request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As John 14:13-14 assures us, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it."* There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is in His name alone that we boldly approach the throne of grace.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother before You, asking that You would guide his steps as he seeks a godly wife. Lord, You know his heart’s desire, and we ask that You would prepare the woman You have for him—a woman of faith, virtue, and perseverance, who loves You above all else and will walk beside him in unity and purpose. Father, make it clear to them both when the time is right, and remove any obstacles that are not of You. Give him patience to wait on Your perfect timing and wisdom to recognize Your leading.
We pray for divine connections and practical opportunities for them to get to know one another in a way that honors You. Surround him with godly counsel and mentors who can speak into his life as he prepares for marriage. Strengthen him to flee from temptation and to walk in purity, keeping his heart and mind set on things above.
Lord, we ask for miracles in his life—open doors, supernatural provision, and a deepening of his trust in You. May he find his joy and identity in Christ alone, knowing that You are his greatest treasure. Bind any fear, loneliness, or impatience, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
We rebuke any spirit of discouragement or distraction that would seek to derail Your plan for his life. Let every step he takes be ordered by You, and let his future marriage be a testament to Your goodness and faithfulness.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
