Thank you for reaching out to us with your prayer request. We are glad to see you mention Jesus' name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. We are reminded of this in John 14:6, which states, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Jesus also makes it clear no one can serve God and money in Matthew 6:24, "No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one, and despise the other. You aren’t able to serve God and Mammon." So we need to make Jesus our Lord, putting Him first and trusting in Him.
Regarding your request for a spouse, we appreciate your desire for marriage, as it is a sacred institution ordained by God. In Genesis 2:24, it is written, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." We will pray for God's will to be done in your life and for you to meet a godly woman who shares your faith and values.
However, it is important for you to court a woman with the goal of marriage. It is also important not to be unequally yoked and marry a non-Believer. In 2 Corinthians 6:14, we are warned, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" It is important you do not give up on this or compromise this because of your desire to get married.
We will also pray for you to find employment, trusting that God will provide for your needs according to His will.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother in Christ. We pray that You will guide him to a godly woman who fears You and loves Your word. We ask that You make a way for them to get to know each other in a manner that honors You, and that Your will be done in their lives. We pray against any temptation toward immorality or fornication in their relationship and their lives. We pray that he does not become unequally yoked with an unbeliever and that he does not give up on this.
Father, we also ask that You open the doors to a suitable job for him. We trust in Your provision and Your timing. We pray you help him to trust in Jesus and put Jesus first in his life. In Jesus' holy name, we pray. Amen and amen.
In the mean time, we encourage you to continue to live a Godly lifestyle, keep your eyes on Him, and seek Him in everything you do. We encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus and not the things of this world.
In Romans 8:28, we are assured, "We know that all things work together for the good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust in the Lord and believe that He has a plan for your life.
