We hear your cry and we lift you up before the Lord together, for we know how wearying these four years have been for you. To hustle for so long, to apply to so many jobs and sit through so many interviews, to take lower paying work and commission only roles that cost you more than they gave back, and to push your body through three classes a day while dealing with tendonitis, back pain and stomach issues from stress, is a heavy burden. We are so sorry you are carrying this and we bring your weariness and your need for a stable, full time, salaried job directly to our Father.
We want to gently share something important we noticed in your request. You prayed to God, which is good, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want you to know that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name that we pray and find mercy and help.
We know you feel too old and worn to go on like this, but God sees your diligence and He cares about your provision and your body. His Word says in Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And Matthew 6:31-33 reminds us, Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, What will we eat, what will we drink or, With what will we be clothed For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. He has not forgotten you in this long season. Jeremiah 29:11 says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
We also hear how much your body hurts. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit as 1 Corinthians 6:19 teaches, and God cares about your physical suffering. Jesus invites you in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. And Isaiah 41:10 says, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Even when you feel worn out, Isaiah 40:29 says He gives power to the weak and to him who has no might he increases strength.
We pray for you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You together for this dear one who is exhausted and in need. Lord, You know every application sent, every interview endured, every disappointment of contracts not renewed and jobs lost, and every ache in their body from pushing so hard to survive. We ask You to have mercy and to open a door for a stable, full time, salaried job that provides for their needs with dignity and allows their body to rest and heal. Guide their steps and lead them to the work You have prepared for them, that they may work heartily as for You and not for men as Colossians 3:23 teaches. We commit their work to You, Lord, as Proverbs 16:3 says, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed, according to Your perfect will. Please touch their body and bring healing to the tendonitis, the back pain and the stomach issues caused by prolonged stress. Give them deep rest, peace that guards their heart and mind in Christ Jesus as Philippians 4:6-7 promises, and renew their strength. Help them to seek You first, to trust that You are their provider and refuge, for Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. If they do not yet know Jesus as Savior, draw them to Him today that they may have not only daily provision but eternal life. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope, Amen.
We encourage you to keep committing your way to the Lord each day, to do your work faithfully while also allowing yourself rest and care for your health, trusting that God values you far more than any job. Do not give up, for Galatians 6:9 says, Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up. Keep seeking Him, keep asking in Jesus name, and trust that even in this delay He is working for your good as Romans 8:28 promises. We are standing with you in prayer that the Lord will soon answer with the right stable provision in His timing and will restore your strength.
