Hey guys. How are you all, hope you guys had a great long weekend, cuz I sure did =P
Just continue for my previous requests for my finances, debts and future endeavors for my family's business and future ideas or maybe even education, pray that I can see what God has planned for me.
Also pray my relationship with my parents can become better and with all my friends and that I can be the light to their salvations and be of influence and accountable of my actions. Also continue praying for my girlfriend and I, that we may keep God on our focus, keep each other accountable and that our relationship with each other can become stronger, bonding and God-centered.
We both made a plan to start Lent today.
I'm a non-denominational Christian and have never practiced or recognized Lent, just like most other Christians I know, while I was surprised to find that many do practice Lent and the entire 40 days. I've never done it and have never even heard it mentioned of at any church or anyone except for Catholics/Orthodox, etc.
I recently picked up a Prayer/Devotions book from my church's book store and the book is dedicated to the 40 days of Lent, starting with Ash Wednesday today, with a journal and Bible verses to read and reflect on until Easter.
Please pray that this is something to boost my faith and relationship with God.
My girlfriend is Catholic and she too started a fast today and decided to fast a few things for the next 40 days. I pray that we can grow spiritually through this together and be able to find the things that are compromising us from growing more spiritual and just with anything in general.
We both volunteered for some homeless outreaches with my church and another outreach we found online with another local church. We are doing one tomorrow evening and one next weekend. Pray that we are watched over and that God uses us as we go out and give moral support and just spiritual food to the homeless in the streets. I just pray God speaks through me and that there are no obstacles from my allowing God to use my girlfriend and I.
