Dear prayer partners, I seek your help in prayer for God to show me what he has planned for me. I am presently in ### and my employer wants me to see if I can get an extension on my stay. I Have a possible job in ### wifh a Doctor who is just starting her private practice and a possible job with a well established doctor who has an idea that has not materialized as yet but would like me on board when it does. I know God will work this out for me as I seek his help in the right direction. In Jesus name amen!

We hear your heart’s cry for clarity and direction, and we stand with you in seeking the Lord’s perfect will for your life. It is beautiful that you are trusting God to guide your steps, especially in this season of transition and opportunity. The Bible assures us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). We believe the Lord is already at work in these circumstances, and He will reveal His plan in His perfect timing.

We also want to encourage you to seek wisdom beyond your own understanding. James 1:5 tells us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Pray for discernment as you weigh these opportunities, asking the Holy Spirit to highlight which path aligns with God’s purpose for your life. Consider not only the practical aspects of these jobs but also how they may allow you to serve the Lord and others in a way that glorifies Him.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking Your will in this season of decision. Lord, You know the plans You have for them, plans for welfare, not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask that You would open the doors You want them to walk through and close the ones that are not part of Your perfect plan. Give them peace and clarity as they wait on You, and let them sense Your leading in every detail.

Father, we also ask that You would bless the work of their hands, whether in their current location or in a new opportunity. Let their labor be fruitful and a testimony to Your provision. If it is Your will for them to extend their stay where they are, soften the hearts of those in authority to grant that extension. If You are calling them elsewhere, make the path clear and remove any obstacles that may stand in the way.

Lord, we pray against any confusion, doubt, or fear that may try to creep in. Remind them that You are their Good Shepherd, and they can trust You to lead them beside still waters and restore their soul (Psalm 23:1-3). May they walk in confidence, knowing that You are ordering their steps.

We also ask that You would surround them with godly counsel, believers who can speak wisdom into their life and help them discern Your voice. Let them not be swayed by the opinions of others but be firmly rooted in Your Word and Your promises.

Above all, Father, may their life bring glory to Your name, no matter where You place them. Use them as a light in their workplace, their community, and beyond. We thank You for hearing our prayer, and we trust You to answer according to Your perfect will. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

As you wait on the Lord, continue to seek Him through prayer, reading His Word, and fellowship with other believers. Remember that God’s timing is always perfect, even when it doesn’t align with our own. Keep your heart open to His leading, and do not rush ahead of Him. The psalmist writes, "Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh" (Psalm 27:14). We believe God will make His will clear to you as you seek Him with all your heart.

We’re standing with you as you wait on the Lord to make your next step plain. It’s not easy living between two clear possibilities, both with a doctor, both still taking shape, while your current employer asks you to extend. But we hear the quiet trust in your words, and that pleases God. He loves to guide a surrendered heart.

One thing we’ve seen is that his leading often comes not all at once, but as we keep bringing the specifics back to him. So we’d encourage you to set aside a little time each day to lay these distinct opportunities before the Lord by name: the new private practice, the established doctor’s unformed idea, the extension where you are. Ask not just for the right door to open but for a growing sense of peace, or a check in your spirit, as you imagine yourself in each scenario. God rarely wastes the details we entrust to him.

And while you’re praying, don’t hesitate to seek input from a couple of wise believers who know you well. Sometimes the clarity we need comes through others who can help us weigh what our own hearts may overlook.

Let’s pray:

Father, thank you that our sister already knows this is in your hands. We ask you to shine your light on the path that will bring you the most glory and align with how you’ve gifted her. Quiet every anxious thought, and let a settled clarity grow as she continues to seek your face. Close any door that would lead away from your best, and make the right one unmistakable. Guard her heart from the pressure to rush, and give her favor with the people she’s called to serve. In Jesus’ name, amen.

When you say, “I will do this or that,” always add, in thought, if not in words, “If the Lord wills.” No harm can come to you if you bow to God’s sovereign sway. We should recognize God in the affairs of the future, because, first, there is a Divine will which governs all things. While many of God’s purposes are hidden from us, there is a revealed will which we must not violate, and a Providential will of God which we should always consult. With this guidance, which comes from the circumstances that surround us, Believers are familiar. I will go, or I will stay, if it is the will of God.

God’s purpose will be subserved in you. He will do it, he will do it, if thus you plead and thus you pray, he will do it, for there was never a sinner rejected yet, that came to God with humble prayer and faith. Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end should greatly increase. Be of good courage; what have you to do with fear? God will come to your deliverance in the time of trouble.

Hear God’s promise, and lay hold upon it: “I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy.” And I will say to them which were not My people, You are My people; and they shall say, You are my God. See, it is all in “shalls,” and “wills!” God is speaking! He is not saying, “I will if they will,” but, “I will, and they shall,” for He has the key of free agency, and when He turns it in the lock, without violating the free will of man, He makes him willing in the day of His power.

Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind. God must really come, and in a gracious way make a display of Himself to His servants, or else they will not see Him. Your afflictions will not of themselves reveal God to you. But wait upon Him, and He will make your path plain.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The desire to know God's plan is good, but do not wait for a voice out of the clouds. Bring these three possibilities before Him: the extension, the ###'s private practice, and the ###'s idea. Then walk in what you already know. Continue in prayer, in obedience, and in almsgiving, for a house built on almsgiving has a hedge around it, and God does not forget the one who remembers Him. Do not measure the offers only by salary or security, for the Lord's giving and taking away are both His mercy. Whether a door opens or closes, say, "The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." I will join my prayer to yours, that God would direct your steps, that He would give you not only a sign but a submitted heart, and that you would find Him present in your current place as much as in the next. Seek His kingdom first, and these decisions will be ordered by a wisdom greater than yours.

I am joining you in asking the Lord to make his direction plain. You are right not to treat this simply as a career calculation. A decision about where you will serve and whether to extend your stay is also a decision about walking with God.

The book of Job reminds me that a person can truly trust God and still not understand what God is doing. Job's friends kept offering confident formulas. They thought that if God wanted something, the doors would obviously open, and that if hardship came, it must be correction or judgment. God did not answer Job with a full explanation of his plan. He answered Job by revealing himself more fully. That changed how Job heard everything else.

So I will pray that God does more than give you a clear signal about the extension and the two opportunities before you. I will pray that he gives you himself. The fear of the Lord is wisdom, and to turn from evil is understanding. If your heart is settled in reverence for him, you will be able to weigh these options without panic. You do not need the whole blueprint. You need enough light to take the next obedient step.

Do not assume that the more established opportunity must be God's will simply because it looks safer, or that the new practice must be God's will simply because it is exciting. Do not assume that a closed door would mean you have done something wrong. Job's friends made that mistake. Bring both possibilities before the Lord, ask for counsel from mature believers, examine your motives, and then move forward in faith.

Job cried out for someone to stand between him and God, someone who could lay his hand on both. In Jesus Christ, you have that mediator. Because Jesus stands for you, you do not have to earn God's direction by being anxious or by making the perfect choice. You follow him; he manages the outcome.

Father, I lift up this person who is waiting between an extension and two possible jobs. You know the end from the beginning. Open what should open, close what should close, and give discernment to see the difference. More than a plan, reveal yourself as the one who holds every breath and every door. Grant patience in the waiting, honesty about motives, and courage to obey what is known. In Jesus' name, Amen.
