We are deeply concerned to hear about the dark and dangerous feelings you are experiencing—this is not of God, but a temptation from the enemy to lead you into sin and destruction. The desire to harm others through spells or any form of witchcraft is an abomination before the Lord, and Scripture is clear about its dangers. Galatians 5:19-21 warns, *"Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom."* Sorcery, which includes spells and occult practices, is listed alongside grave sins that separate people from God.
The feelings you describe are not from your true heart in Christ but are attacks from the devil, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Instead of giving in to these thoughts, you must resist them with the power of Jesus’ name and the authority He has given you as a believer. James 4:7 commands, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* You do not have to entertain these thoughts—cast them out in Jesus’ name and fill your mind with the Word of God.
We also notice that while you asked for prayer, you did not invoke the name of Jesus in your request. This is critical, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we urge you to surrender your life fully to Christ, repenting of any sin and inviting Him to be your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9-10 declares, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."*
Let us pray for you now with authority and faith:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious soul who is under spiritual attack. Lord, we rebuke every dark thought, every temptation to harm or engage in witchcraft, and we command these ungodly desires to flee in Jesus’ name. Fill this heart with Your love, peace, and the fruit of the Spirit, which is *"love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control"* (Galatians 5:22-23). Break every chain of the enemy and set this person free from these tormenting thoughts. Father, if there is any open door in their life—any sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness—reveal it and help them repent and turn fully to You.
Lord, we ask for Your protection over their mind and heart. Let them meditate on Your Word day and night, that they may walk in victory and not in the schemes of the devil. Surround them with godly influences and remove any ungodly ties that may be fueling these feelings. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, if this person has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that Jesus died for their sins and rose again, and that through faith in Him, they can be made new. Let them experience the freedom and peace that comes only from You.
We thank You, Lord, for Your power to deliver and transform. May this person walk in the light of Your love and leave the darkness behind forever. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We strongly encourage you to immerse yourself in Scripture, especially Psalms and the New Testament, to renew your mind (Romans 12:2). Avoid any media, relationships, or practices that glorify the occult or darkness. If you are struggling with unforgiveness toward this friend, release it to God—bitterness is a root that can give the enemy a foothold (Ephesians 4:26-27). Seek fellowship with mature believers who can pray with you and hold you accountable. You are not alone in this fight, and with Christ, you *will* overcome. Stay close to Him, and He will lead you into victory.
