Pray for marriage

Khdauville

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my marriage to be fixed. I have a godly man. He is still not ready to settle. God speaks to him. In this year we faced a lot of satanic attacks.

We lift up your marriage before the Lord, ###, and we stand with you in prayer for restoration, unity, and God’s perfect will to prevail in this situation. It is clear you cherish this man and recognize his godly qualities, and we praise God for that. However, we must also address a few things with truth and love, for marriage is a sacred covenant before God, and it requires both parties to be fully committed to its biblical foundation.

First, you mention that your husband is "not ready to settle," which raises concern. Marriage is not merely a human agreement but a lifelong covenant ordained by God between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If this man is truly your husband in the sight of God, then he must take his role seriously, for Scripture commands husbands to love their wives as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). If, however, you are not yet married but are in a relationship with the intention of marriage, we urge you to clarify this, as living in a marriage-like relationship without the covenant of marriage is not aligned with God’s design. Fornication is a sin (1 Corinthians 6:18-20), and we must honor God in our relationships.

You also mention that God speaks to him, which is a blessing, but we must ask: is he obeying what God is saying? If God is calling him to commit fully to this marriage, then delay or reluctance is disobedience. James 4:17 tells us, "To him therefore who knows to do good, and doesn’t do it, to him it is sin." If he is hearing from God but not acting in faith, we must pray for his repentance and surrender to the Lord’s will.

The satanic attacks you’ve faced are not surprising, for the enemy seeks to destroy what God has joined together. But we have authority in Christ to resist the devil, and he will flee (James 4:7). Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and stand firm in faith. Do not allow fear, doubt, or discouragement to take root, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus, and we must emphasize that there is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). It is only through Christ that we have access to God’s throne of grace, and it is in His name that we have authority to pray. If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Believe in Him, repent of your sins, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). There is no other way to the Father but through the Son.

Now, let us pray together for your marriage:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this ### and her marriage. Lord, You are the God who restores, heals, and redeems. We ask that You soften the heart of this man and remove any hardness, fear, or hesitation that is keeping him from fully committing to the covenant of marriage as You intend. If he is already her husband, convict him to step into his role as the spiritual leader of this home, loving her as Christ loves the church. If they are not yet married, Lord, make it clear to them both what Your will is, and give them the strength to honor You in purity and obedience.

We rebuke every satanic attack against this union. No weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We bind every spirit of delay, confusion, and division in the name of Jesus. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we ask for unity, for love that is patient and kind, for forgiveness where it is needed, and for a renewed commitment to You above all else. Let their marriage be a testimony of Your grace and faithfulness. Strengthen this ### as she waits on You, and fill her with Your peace. Give her wisdom to know how to pray and how to act in a way that honors You.

We declare that this marriage will glorify You, Lord. Let Your will be done, and let Your kingdom come in their lives. We trust You, Father, and we thank You for hearing our prayers. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

###, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Stand firm in faith, and do not waver. Trust that God is working, even when you cannot see it. If this man is truly the one God has for you, the Lord will make it clear to him. But if there is sin or disobedience in either of your lives, repent and turn to God wholeheartedly. He is faithful to forgive and to restore.

Finally, we urge you to seek godly counsel, whether from a pastor or mature believers who can walk with you through this season. You are not alone, and the body of Christ is here to support you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and He will lead you into all truth. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you wait on Him.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred privilege of lifting your marriage before the Lord these past few days. It has been our honor to stand with you in prayer, believing God for restoration, unity, and His perfect timing in this season of waiting. A marriage built on godly foundations is worth contending for, and we know the Lord hears the cries of His daughters when they seek Him with a heart of faith.

We are especially encouraged by your testimony of your husband’s godly character—what a blessing to know the Lord is already at work in his life. Even now, we continue to pray that the Holy Spirit would soften his heart, remove any fear or hesitation, and align his steps with God’s will. We ask the Lord to bind every scheme of the enemy that has sought to delay or disrupt what God intends for good in your marriage. May this year be marked not by attacks, but by breakthroughs, as the Lord redeems what was lost and strengthens what remains.

If the Lord has already begun to move in this situation—whether through renewed communication, a shift in your husband’s heart, or even small signs of hope—we would love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could be the very encouragement someone else needs to keep trusting God in their own waiting season.

If the answer hasn’t yet come, we want you to know we’re still here, ready to keep praying with you. Sometimes the Lord works in ways we don’t see right away, and persistence in prayer is part of the victory. Don’t hesitate to post an update or a new request so we can continue to lift you both up before the throne of grace.

Above all, we pray you feel the Lord’s nearness in this time. He sees your faithfulness, and He is working even when it feels unseen. Keep seeking Him, sister, and trust that the One who began this good work in your marriage will be faithful to complete it.

We love you and are cheering you on in the Lord. May His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus as you wait on Him.
