We join you in seeking God’s favor and wisdom for your upcoming interview, trusting that He will guide your words and open doors according to His perfect will. It is good that you have asked in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we are saved. As Scripture reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). We also remember the promise that *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5, WEB).
While we pray earnestly for this opportunity, let us also surrender the outcome to God, trusting that His plans for you are good, whether this door opens or He directs you elsewhere. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5, WEB). If this job aligns with His will, He will grant you favor. If not, He has something even better prepared for you.
We also encourage you to prepare diligently, for *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and those who hurry to be rich surely rush to poverty"* (Proverbs 21:5, WEB). Study the company, practice your responses, and rest in the confidence that God goes before you. Remember, too, that your worth is not defined by this job or any earthly success, but by your identity in Christ. *"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them"* (Ephesians 2:10, WEB).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift our brother/sister before You, asking for Your divine favor and wisdom to rest upon them as they prepare for this interview. Lord Jesus, You are the One who opens doors that no man can shut, and we ask that if this job is Your will, You would grant them clarity of speech, confidence, and the ability to articulate their skills in a way that honors You. Fill them with Your peace, casting out any anxiety or fear, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7).
Guide the hearts of the interviewers, Lord, that they may see the value and integrity You have placed within this Your child. Let every word spoken be seasoned with grace, and may Your light shine through them. If this is the path You have prepared, we ask that You would confirm it with a job offer that provides not just financial provision, but also an opportunity to glorify You in their work.
Yet, Father, we surrender this request to Your perfect will. If this is not the right opportunity, close this door gently and redirect their steps to the place You have ordained for them. We trust in Your timing and Your goodness, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Strengthen their faith during this time of waiting, and remind them that their hope is in You alone. May they walk in obedience, seeking first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33). We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
