I am praying for all your intentions. Please do not give in to the urge to gamble. The kind of gambling you are talking about is an addiction so pray to the Lord to rid you of it, set you free. I did it five years ago with smoking. I smoked so much and for so long that I created gum disease and massive gum recession. God was the one who put it on my heart to quit. I never did anything so hard in my life. I paced a hole in the rug of my old apartment. I was on speed dial to Seven Hundred Club prayer line. But guess what? Because I quit when I did and because I got proper dental care, I have just been told by my dentist that I am going to keep my teeth. I also have diminished lung capacity from the heavy smoking, but I power walk, do stationary bike, try to run short distances -- the best I can. I believe God will allow me to keep what lung capacity I have left and that I will be able to lead a healthy, vigorous life. Now, I am sorry I have digressed so much, but this does relate to you because addiction is addiction is addiction. Pray. Call on the Lord to heal you of this gambling problem. If you need to go to a support group, go. Because you know what? You will only make your problems worse if you gamble away what money you do have. And you will. You may win some and get a temporary fix to your problems, but not only won't it last, but also ultimately you will dig yourself in deeper. Please heed my warning. And, again, I will pray for all your intentions especially fervently. Yours in Christ, ###.
