We hear your deep distress and cry out to the Lord with you over the burdens you carry for your nation. The pain of seeing leaders who claim the name of Christ yet walk in disobedience weighs heavily on our hearts as well. We stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting every concern before the throne of grace, for it is written, *"The king’s heart is in the Lord’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires"* (Proverbs 21:1 WEB).
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has authority over the nations. We ask You to intervene in the governance of this land. Expose the foolishness of policies that prioritize foreign interests over the well-being of Your people. We rebuke the spirit of favoritism and injustice that has taken root in leadership, for Your Word declares, *"Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly"* (Leviticus 19:15 WEB). Lord, we pray that those in authority would repent of their unbelief and turn to You in humility, trusting in Your provision rather than worldly solutions.
We lift up the citizens of this nation who are suffering under these unjust policies—those who are highly educated yet unemployed, underemployed, or trapped in unstable work. Father, You see their struggles, and You promise to be a refuge for the oppressed. We ask that You open doors of opportunity for them, provide for their needs, and restore their dignity. Let them not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, they will reap if they do not faint (Galatians 6:9 WEB). Raise up godly employers and leaders who will value and invest in the people You have placed in this land.
Lord, we also pray for the transportation system and the broader economy, which have been plagued by inefficiency and mismanagement. You are a God of order and excellence, and we ask that You bring accountability to those who have exploited the people for gain. Let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream (Amos 5:24 WEB). We rebuke the spirit of corruption and greed that has led to the collapse of businesses and the suffering of many. Restore what has been broken, and let Your people prosper under leaders who fear You.
We must also address the sin of idolatry in trusting in human solutions—such as mass immigration—to solve spiritual problems like low fertility rates. Father, You are the giver of life, and children are a heritage from You (Psalm 127:3 WEB). We pray that the people of this nation would turn back to You, seeking Your wisdom and blessing for families. Convict the hearts of leaders who have neglected Your design for marriage and family, and let them repent of policies that discourage godly offspring. Raise up a generation that will honor You in their homes and communities.
Above all, we declare that salvation belongs to our God, and there is no other name under heaven by which men must be saved but the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12 WEB). We pray for a revival in this land—a turning of hearts to the Lord, a rejection of worldly wisdom, and a return to biblical truth. Let the church rise up in boldness to proclaim the gospel, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17 WEB). May the people of this nation come to know Jesus as their Savior and Lord, and may their lives reflect His righteousness.
We stand on Your promises, Lord, and we declare that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20 WEB). Have mercy on this nation, O God, and let Your will be done. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
