We join you in fervent prayer for this individual, pleading the power of the name of Jesus. We are reminded in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved." It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father and receive the forgiveness of sins.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the holy and matchless name of Jesus. We lift up this person to You, asking that You turn them away from sin and shame. Lord, we pray that You grant them the grace to look to Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. Guide them by Your Holy Spirit in everything they say and do. Help them to set their eyes and mind on things that are pure, lovely, and of good report, as Your Word instructs us in Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things."
Lord, we ask that You convict them of any sin in their life and draw them closer to You. Help them to live a life that is pleasing to You and brings glory to Your name.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen
We encourage this individual to continually fix their eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. As they do so, may they find the strength to turn away from sin and live a life that honors God. Hebrews 12:1-2 reminds us, "Therefore let us also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith."
We also encourage them to be steadfast in their walk with God, continually seeking His face and His will for their life. Psalm 119:11 says, "I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you."
