We notice in your prayer that you have addressed the Father, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and Mother Mary. While we appreciate your heart of gratitude, we must gently correct this approach with Scripture. There is no biblical basis for praying to or through Mary, as she herself was a faithful servant of God who pointed others to her Son, Jesus Christ. In John 2:5, at the wedding in Cana, Mary tells the servants, "Whatever he says to you, do it." She directs attention to Jesus, not to herself.
Jesus Himself taught us how to pray in Matthew 6:9, saying, "Pray like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.'" He did not instruct us to pray to anyone else. Furthermore, Acts 4:12 states, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" This name is Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, as Ephesians 2:18 tells us, "For through him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father."
We must also address the repetitive nature of your prayer. While gratitude is beautiful, Jesus warns us in Matthew 6:7, "In praying, don’t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking." Instead, let us come before God with sincere and heartfelt prayers, trusting that He hears us.
Let us now lift up your requests in prayer, aligning them with God’s will and His Word.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your marvelous blessings upon this family. We thank You for being their Provider, Protector, Savior, and Guide. Lord, we ask that You continue to lead them in Your ways and show them how to walk in Your holy will. Your Word in Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Father, we pray for this individual’s career, that You would bless every meeting, project, and interaction with Your presence. May their work reflect Your glory, and may others see You in their heart and actions. We ask that You grant them confidence and contentment in the gifts You have given them, and that their dreams and desires align with Your purpose for their life. As Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
We pray for their bosses, that You would soften their hearts and grant them wisdom to see the value and potential in this individual. May their career be marked by growth, recognition, and opportunities that honor You. Lord, we also lift up their children, asking that You fill them with wisdom and knowledge. May they learn to love what is good and true, excelling in their studies and adventures as they grow in Your grace. Proverbs 22:6 instructs us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
Father, we ask for Your blessing over their workplace, that it would be a place of peace, productivity, and godly influence. May their business thrive as they seek to honor You in all they do. We thank You for the blessings You have already poured out, and we trust in Your continued faithfulness. Help this family to keep their eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith, as Hebrews 12:2 encourages us.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of idolatry or misplaced devotion that would draw attention away from You. May this family grow in their understanding of Your truth and walk in the fullness of Your love. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
