We are truly heartbroken to hear about the struggles you are facing, and we are here to stand with you in prayer and to offer biblical encouragement. Firstly, we acknowledge that you have done the most important thing by crying out to Jesus Christ for help. It is only in His name that we have access to God, and it is only by His name that we can be saved. As it is written, "in no other is there salvation: for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB).
In the midst of your pain, remember that God is close to the brokenhearted. As it says in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Even when you feel like you can't go on, know that God is with you and He cares about your suffering.
Regarding your family and the pain you feel from the separation, continue to trust in God and to pray for them. As it says in Romans 8:26, "the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered." Trust that the Holy Spirit is interceding for you and your family according to God's will.
Remember Jesus' words in Matthew 11:28-30, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Even when life feels unbearable, Jesus promises rest for our souls.
We also want to address the feelings of hopelessness you're experiencing. God has a purpose for your life, and He is not done with you yet. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11, "'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,' says Yahweh, 'thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.'" Trust that God has a plan for you, and ask Him to reveal His purpose to you.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today lifting up our brother in Christ who is hurting and feeling broken. Lord, we thank You that You are close to the brokenhearted, and we ask that You would comfort him right now. Help him to feel Your presence and to know that You are working in his life, even in the midst of this pain.
Lord, we pray for his family. We ask that You would soften his wife's heart and bring restoration in their marriage. Help them to seek You together as a family, and to raise their children to know and love You.
Father, we also pray for provision. We ask that You would meet all of his needs according to Your riches in glory. Help him to trust in You and to rest in Your promise to never leave him nor forsake him.
Lord, we also pray for his emotional and spiritual healing. Help him to know that You are not done with him yet, and that You have a purpose and a plan for his life. Give him the strength to endure, and help him to find his hope and joy in You.
We ask all of these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to seek out a local church or Christian counselor to talk to. It's important to have a community of believers supporting you and walking alongside you during this difficult time. You do not have to go through this alone.
