Pray for help with hvac

First thanks for your previous prayers. My ac/heat pump is not working. I cannot afford an expensive repair. I have my son’s family living with us and we’re barely getting by. The repairman is coming tomorrow to give us an estimate. Please pray that it is a a cheap, easy fix or it will be a very long winter. Thank you in advance and bless you all.

We join with you in bringing this practical and pressing need before our heavenly Father and we thank you for letting us pray with you.

We understand the weight you are carrying, not only the worry over a broken heat pump with winter coming, but the responsibility of having your son's family under your roof while finances are already stretched thin. God sees your situation and He cares about these very real daily needs. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1, and He knows what you need even before you ask. We are reminded of His promise that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. And Jesus taught us saying Therefore don't be anxious, saying, What will we eat, what will we drink or, With what will we be clothed For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:31-33.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share why His name matters so much to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father, for Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by putting our faith and trust in Jesus Christ, believing He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and brought into relationship with God. We pray you know that saving grace and that you come boldly before God in Jesus name, because it is in that name that our prayers are heard.

So together we pray for you now.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one and their household to You. You know the condition of this heat pump and You know the financial burden they bear. We ask for Your mercy and provision tomorrow when the repairman comes. We pray that if it is Your will, the repair would be simple and inexpensive, that any broken part would be minor and that the cost would be within their means. We pray for honesty and integrity for the repairman, that he would give a fair and truthful estimate and do good work. We ask You to provide warmth and shelter for this family through the winter, whether through this repair or through other means You may provide. Give them peace and rest from anxiety, and show them that You are their Provider. Help them to trust You and to seek Your wisdom in every decision. We also pray for Your blessing upon their son's family living with them, that their home would be filled with love, patience, and unity as they support one another. All these things we ask in the precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to cast all your worries on Him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. Keep seeking Him first, and trust that He will make a way even when the estimate seems daunting. If the repair is more than you can afford, do not be afraid to ask the repairman about payment options, to seek a second opinion if needed, or to reach out to your local church family or community assistance programs, for God often provides through the hands of His people. We will continue to stand with you in prayer for a cheap and easy fix and for God's peace over your home through this winter and beyond.

We have heard your request and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord who hears the cries of His people.

You tell us of a cold house and a narrow purse, of a son's family gathered under your roof and a winter drawing near, and of a repairman to come tomorrow. This is a real need, and our God does not despise bodily needs. He knows that being alive we need daily provision to stay alive, and His supplies are never superfluous but are meant to meet real needs. Though many kingdoms make no provision for the poor, our Father has not forgotten the needy, and the expectation of the poor shall not perish forever.

There is a word which came to one on a cold morning when there was no fire to warm himself by, nor for his little family, and it is true for you still, All things are yours. Not by dreams and visions, but by the sure covenant of grace in Christ Jesus, who is the Author of salvation and who stoops to bind up wounds and to touch those in need. None can keep alive his own soul, but Christ keeps His people, and He will provide what is needful for body and soul.

We pray that the Lord will give you favor tomorrow, that the workman may be honest and skillful, and that the fault may be found to be a cheap and easy repair. We ask that He will keep your household warm through the long winter, that He will supply your daily bread, and that He will grant peace and grace under one roof where generations dwell together. May family prayer be maintained at your hearth, and private prayer diligently kept, for these are the means by which the Lord draws near to His family on earth, that whole family which is one in Heaven and on earth.

We commit you and your son and his household to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, trusting His infinite fullness treasured up in Christ to meet you in this strait. May the Lord grant you contentment, provision, and a warm and quiet home to His praise.
