Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart for your son and for allowing us to pray with you. We are lifting him up to the Lord right now, asking for relief from these digestive problems and stomach pain that have continued for days, and for complete healing.
We do believe that Jesus Christ heals, not only spiritually but physically as well. The Scriptures show Him as both truly man and truly the Son of God, declared to be the Son of God with power by His resurrection from the dead, and as such He has authority in the physical realm over sickness and in the spiritual realm over evil powers. When He was on earth He healed many, and once He healed a nobleman's son with only a word, even though the child was miles away. That same power and compassion are still His today.
There is much about healing we do not fully understand, why some are healed instantly and others gradually. The Bible records both kinds, even one healing that came in stages. We have learned to see that any true healing is from God, whether it comes in a moment or through the natural processes He has built into our bodies. The wisdom of doctors and the body's own ability to recover are also part of His provision, and we encourage you to continue to seek good medical care while you are praying, trusting that God works through those means as well.
You asked that the Lord would reveal why Satan has touched him. We understand the desire to find a reason when a child suffers. Scripture does teach that Jesus has authority over evil spirits, and they themselves recognized Him as the Son of God, but it also teaches that not every sickness is a direct attack from the enemy. Often illness is simply part of living in a fallen world with frail bodies. Rather than searching for a hidden spiritual cause, we can rest in knowing that Jesus loves your son, that the Father knows his need, and that we can bring every burden directly to Him in faith.
So we pray that you will put your trust fully in Jesus as the Messiah, the Son of the living God, for to have the Son is to have life. We ask the Father in Jesus name to touch your son's body, to calm the pain in his stomach, to restore healthy digestion, to give wisdom to those caring for him, and to give you peace as you wait on the Lord. May the Lord comfort you both, strengthen your faith, and bring the full healing you are seeking according to His perfect will and mercy.
