We lift up your son before the Lord, knowing that our Heavenly Father is the Great Physician and the One who hears the cries of His children. It is clear that you have brought this request in the name of Jesus, which is the only name by which we can approach the throne of God with confidence. We are grateful that you have acknowledged this truth, for Scripture tells us, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is through Him alone that we find healing, mercy, and grace.
The pain and discomfort your son is experiencing with his ear infection, hearing loss, and ringing in his ear are not hidden from the Lord. He sees and knows the suffering, and His heart is moved with compassion. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28, where He says, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* Your son is laboring under this burden, and we ask the Lord to grant him rest and complete restoration.
We also recall the account of Jesus healing the deaf man in Mark 7:31-35, where it is written, *"Again he departed from the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and came to the sea of Galilee, through the middle of the region of Decapolis. They brought to him one who was deaf and had an impediment in his speech. They begged him to lay his hand on him. He took him aside from the multitude, privately, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spat, and touched his tongue. Looking up to heaven, he sighed, and said to him, 'Ephphatha!' that is, 'Be opened!' Immediately his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was released, and he spoke clearly."* We pray for this same miraculous touch upon your son’s ears, that the Lord would command healing and restoration to come swiftly.
Yet, as we pray for physical healing, we also ask the Lord to strengthen your son’s faith and trust in Him. If this trial is allowed to persist for a season, may it serve to draw your son—and your entire family—closer to the Lord. May it be a testament to God’s faithfulness, even in suffering, as we are reminded in Romans 8:28, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."*
We also pray for you, dear parent, that the Lord would fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). The burden of seeing your child suffer can be heavy, but we ask the Lord to remind you that He is sovereign and that His love for your son is even greater than your own. Cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious son to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are the God who heals, the One who restores and makes all things new. We ask that You would touch his ears with Your healing power, that the infection would be completely eradicated, and that his hearing would be fully restored. Let there be no more pain, no more ringing, but only the sound of Your praise on his lips.
Lord, we also pray for his faith to be strengthened through this trial. May he—and his family—see Your hand at work in his life, drawing him into a deeper relationship with You. Give them patience and trust as they wait upon You, knowing that Your timing is perfect and Your ways are higher than ours.
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness that would seek to linger in his body. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command this infection to leave and for complete healing to manifest in his ears. Let Your will be done, Lord, and let Your name be glorified through this situation.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your love, knowing that You are working all things together for the good of those who love You. May this son—and his family—experience Your peace, Your presence, and Your healing touch in a mighty way.
In the powerful and holy name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
