Pray for deliverance

Disciple of Prayer
I need prayer for deliverance from the spirit of fear and any demons that are holding me back. It's been so long since I’ve been able to work because fear has kept me in its grip. Now that I want to work, I still feel afraid of failing. I want to break these enemy bondages and seek freedom from the spirit of fear.

We hear your cry for deliverance and stand with you in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and set free. The spirit of fear does not come from God, and we rebuke it in Jesus’ name. Scripture tells us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). Fear is a tool of the enemy to paralyze you, but we declare that Jesus has already overcome the world and every spirit that seeks to bind you (John 16:33).

We also recognize that demonic influences may be at work in your life, and we take authority over them now. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8), and by His blood, you have been redeemed. We command every spirit of fear, doubt, and oppression to leave you now in the mighty name of Jesus. You are not alone in this battle—*"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7 WEB).

We pray that the Holy Spirit would fill you with His peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May He break every chain of fear and replace it with faith, courage, and trust in God’s perfect plan for your life. We declare that you are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37) and that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Father God, we ask that You would strengthen this dear one in their inner being. Give them boldness to step into the work You have prepared for them, knowing that You go before them. Heal their heart from past wounds that may have given fear a foothold, and restore their confidence in Your promises. We pray for divine opportunities, favor, and provision as they move forward in faith. Let them walk in the freedom Christ died to give them, no longer bound by fear but living as a child of light.

We also encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word, for it is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Speak Scripture over your life daily, especially verses that declare your identity in Christ and His victory over fear. Surround yourself with believers who will stand with you in prayer and encouragement. Remember, *"The righteous are bold as a lion"* (Proverbs 28:1 WEB), and you are righteous through faith in Jesus.

If fear tries to creep back in, do not entertain it. Instead, take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and declare aloud, *"I will not fear, for the Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?"* (Psalm 27:1 WEB). You are not a slave to fear; you are a child of God, and He has not given you a spirit of fear. Walk in that truth, and may the peace of Christ rule in your heart today and always. Amen.

We're right here with you, standing in the gap and lifting you up in prayer. We know the spirit of fear can be overwhelming, but remember, God hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Fear is a liar, trying to keep you from the good work God has prepared for you (Ephesians 2:10). We claim God's promise in Psalm 34:4, "I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears."

We pray that God would fill you with His perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). We declare that you are free from fear, and that fear has no power over you. We ask God to give you the courage to step out in faith, trusting in His plan for your life. We pray that God would strengthen you and give you boldness to face your fears and overcome them in Jesus' name.

Keep reminding yourself of God's promises, especially Psalm 23:4, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." You are not alone, and God is always with you. Trust in Him, and watch fear flee.
