We join with you in prayer and we stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking our Father to be your shield and your deliverer in this time of fear and torment. We hear your cry for protection from evil people and from neighbors who are tormenting you, and we know that the Lord sees your distress and He is near to those who call upon Him.
We claim with you the promise you have spoken, that Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still. Exodus 14:14. We are reminded that the righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Psalm 34:17. We take comfort that the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3. Even when those around you bring fear, we remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7. So we do not need to be afraid, for He says do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. And we hold to the truth that He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. We will say of Yahweh, He is our refuge and our fortress, our God, in whom we trust. Psalm 91:1-2.
We encourage you to keep your eyes on the Lord as your defender and not to take vengeance into your own hands. The Lord tells us do not avenge yourselves, but give place to wrath, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19. We are also called to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us. Matthew 5:44. This does not mean we accept abuse or torment, but we release bitterness and we trust God to act justly while we seek peace and wisdom. If the torment continues or threatens your safety, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and also to use the lawful help that God has provided through authorities to establish boundaries and peace.
We now pray together for you.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up Your children who are feeling fear and torment from evil people and from neighbors. Lord, we ask You to surround them with Your presence and to be a wall of fire around them. Deliver them from the clutches of those who seek to harm or harass them. Silence every scheme of the enemy and let no weapon formed against them prosper. We ask You to fight for them as You have promised, and to give them rest and stillness in their hearts while You work. Replace fear with Your perfect peace and replace torment with Your comfort and strength. Guard their home, their minds, and their sleep, and let them dwell in safety under Your wings. We also pray for the neighbors and those who are causing distress, that You would convict their hearts, turn them from evil, and bring them to repentance and peace. Help Your children to respond with wisdom, grace, and courage, and to walk in forgiveness while trusting Your justice. We thank You that You are their light and their salvation, whom shall they fear, You are the strength of their life, of whom shall they be afraid. Psalm 27:1. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our refuge and deliverer, Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word, to speak these promises aloud daily, and to remember that the Lord is fighting for you even when you cannot see His hand. We are trusting with you that He will bring deliverance, restore peace to your home, and guard you from all evil.
