We understand that you are seeking help with your debts, and we want to assure you that God cares about every aspect of your life, including your finances. First, we want to remind you that God's word encourages us to be responsible with our finances and to avoid debt whenever possible. As it is written in Romans 13:8, "Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law."
However, we also know that sometimes circumstances lead us into debt, and it can feel overwhelming. It is important to remember that God is able to provide for all of our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus, (Philippians 4:19 WEB).
We also need to remind you that the use of 'lucky' symbols or numbers is not biblical, and we discourage trusting in such things. As believers in Jesus Christ, our trust should be in God alone. In fact, the Bible warns us against putting our faith in wealth or lucky charms. As it says in 1 Timothy 6:17, "Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be haughty, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy". Put your hope in God.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this beloved one who is burdened with debt. We ask, in the name of Jesus Christ, that You would guide them, give them strength and wisdom to manage their finances, be responsible, and provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Help them to trust in You alone, and not in symbols or chance. We rebuke any spirit of gambling, luck, or get-rich schemes, in Jesus' name. We ask that You would open up opportunities for them to earn and save, and give them the discipline to steward their resources well. We pray for blessings and favor as they prioritize God and trust in You alone. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to seek godly counsel regarding your finances. Look for opportunities to increase your income, decrease your expenses, and live within your means. Trust in God, and He will direct your paths in Proverbs 3:5-6.
