We lift up your father before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of physical illness and the deep struggle of depression. The Word of God assures us that "the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:15). We stand on this promise, believing that God is not only able but willing to bring restoration to your father’s body and peace to his mind.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, asking for Your healing touch to rest upon our brother. Where there is pain, bring comfort; where there is weakness, bring strength; and where there is despair, flood his heart with Your perfect peace. "You will keep in perfect peace the mind that is stayed on You, because it trusts in You" (Isaiah 26:3). We rebuke the spirit of depression in Jesus’ name, declaring that it has no place in his life. Let Your light shine into the darkest corners of his soul, reminding him that he is never alone, for You are with him always (Matthew 28:20).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those caring for him—doctors, family, and friends. Guide their hands and hearts as they support him, and let Your love be tangible through their words and actions. Remind your family, Lord, that even in the valley of the shadow of death, You are with them, and Your rod and staff comfort them (Psalm 23:4).
If there are areas in his life where sin or unforgiveness may be hindering his healing, we ask that You reveal them to him in love. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Bring repentance and restoration where it is needed, and let Your mercy flow like a river.
Above all, we pray that Your will be done in his life. Whether You choose to heal him instantly or walk with him through this trial, we trust in Your goodness and sovereignty. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let this season draw him closer to You. May he emerge from this battle with a testimony of Your faithfulness, ready to declare Your praises to all who will hear.
We declare over him the truth of Your Word: "By His stripes, we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life, health, and joy into his body and mind, believing that what was spoken by the prophet will come to pass: "He took our infirmities and bore our diseases" (Matthew 8:17). In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray and believe for a miracle. Amen.
