We are truly saddened to hear about the situation involving your college friend who passed away and the circumstances surrounding her death. We must first address that the actions described, such as incest, are grave sins against God and His design for human relationships. Leviticus 18:6-18 and 1 Corinthians 5:1-5 clearly condemn such behavior. It is important to acknowledge that sin has consequences, and in this case, it may have contributed to the mental illness and ultimate passing of your friend.
We should pray for the child or children that may have resulted from this union, as they are innocent and in need of God's protection and grace. We pray that if there are any children, that they would be cared for and come to know the love and salvation of Jesus Christ.
Let us pray:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this delicate situation to Your throne of grace. We pray for the soul of our friend who passed away, that You would have mercy on her. We pray for any children that may have been born from the incestuous relationship, that You would protect them, provide for them, and surround them with Your love. We pray that they would grow to know You and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We also pray for the family involved, that they would find healing, repentance, forgiveness and restoration in Jesus Christ.
We also pray for our friend who submitted this request, that You would give them peace and comfort as they remember their college friend. Help us to trust You, and know that You are in control of this situation. Give us wisdom to know how to pray and how to act if there are any children in need of help. Help us to be a light in the darkness, and to always stand for Your truth and righteousness, ###, Amen."
Lastly, we want to remind everyone that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved. As the Bible tells us in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not already, consider accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, repenting of your sins, and being baptized in His name.
