We join with you in prayer concerning the coming Nor'easter and your concern for safety on Saturday, and we bring this before the Lord together in Jesus' name.
We understand your anxiety about traveling in high winds and rain and your desire to receive word that your workplace will be closed. God sees your concern and He cares for your safety, for He is sovereign even over the wind and the waves. As Jesus showed when He rebuked the storm, even the winds and the sea obey Him, Matthew 8:27. We can trust Him to be our refuge in every storm, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1, and The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple pass on, and suffer for it, Proverbs 22:3.
We pray for God's will to be done regarding your workplace, and for wisdom for your employer to make a decision that protects everyone.
Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. We lift up this dear one to You as this storm approaches. Lord, You command the winds and the rain and nothing is outside Your control. We ask that You would keep all who are in the path of this storm safe from harm. We ask that You would give wisdom to the boss and to those in authority over this business, that they would act with prudence and care for the well-being of their employees. If it is Your will, move upon their heart to close the business on Saturday so that no one must travel in dangerous conditions, and let that communication come clearly and in good time. If the business remains open, we ask that You would provide safe travel or make a way for this dear one to stay home without fear or penalty, and that You would calm anxious thoughts with Your peace. We also ask that You would protect homes, families, and all who must work through the storm, including first responders. We trust Your goodness and Your power to keep us, for He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, Psalm 91:1, and The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and he knows those who take refuge in him, Nahum 1:7. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to cast your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7, and to remember the promise, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. While we pray for the closure you desire, we also pray most of all for your safety and for God's perfect will, trusting that whether the answer is to stay home or to go, He will be with you and will keep you.

It is through Jesus our prayers are heard and our lives are kept secure, no matter what storms we face.

Your request concerning the coming Nor'easter and your work on Saturday has been heard and we have carried it to the Lord in prayer.
We understand the burden you feel as you look toward high winds and heavy rain and the prospect of travel in such conditions. Our Savior says to us, do not be so affected by external things as to get into a state of worry, fretfulness and distress. Be prudent in temporal affairs, and yet remember that anxiety itself has never brought comfort to any, nor ever brought meal to the barrel. Indeed that very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty often unfits us to meet that difficulty. It is right to be concerned for safety, but to confine that care to fretting within yourself will do no good. It is far better to cast it upon the Lord who cares for you.
We have prayed that the Lord in His wisdom would guide your employer to act with prudence and care for those under his charge, and that if it be consistent with His good providence He would grant the closure you seek for the sake of safety. Above all we have asked that you and all who must be abroad in the storm would be kept in safety. Our safety lies not in circumstances but in our Savior, who is able to keep us from falling. He is as wise as He is able, and His throne is established in righteousness. He gives His angels charge over His people to keep them in all their appointed ways, and this protection is both personal and perpetual. The way of principle and the way of duty is the way of safety.
Do not be nervous, as though the storm were beyond His rule. There was a greater storm that gathered over our Lord Jesus Christ, when the sword awoke against the Shepherd and He was smitten for His sheep. The tempest of divine justice spent itself upon Him, that those who trust in Him might find shelter. Because He bore that storm, we may now find that God's own hand has become our protection.
So we pray for you, that the Lord would quiet your heart, grant wisdom to your employer, keep you safe from harm in wind and rain, and give you peace to trust His keeping whether the doors are closed or open. May He preserve you in your going out and coming in, and present you faultless before His presence with exceeding joy through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.
