We join you in bringing this urgent burden before the Lord together in Jesus' name and we thank you for trusting us to pray with you for both of you.
We hear your concern for your girlfriend who has become entangled in what you describe as a deceptive Bible study that is an educational arm of a Korean cult. We take this very seriously, for the Word warns us plainly about such deception. Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1 We are also told, Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. Matthew 7:15 and Be careful that you don’t let anyone rob you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the elements of the world, and not after Christ. Colossians 2:8 Even Satan masquerades as an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:14 So we rebuke the spirit of deception, coercion and control that is at work in this group, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 This is spiritual warfare and it requires spiritual protection, discernment and the truth of Scripture.
We also want to speak to your relationship with love and biblical clarity. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman as God designed it, and we view a boyfriend and girlfriend relationship as courtship with the goal of discerning marriage to another Christian believer. We encourage you to pursue this relationship in purity and with that holy purpose in mind, for Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14 and Marriage should be honored by all, and the bed undefiled. Hebrews 13:4 If you are living in sexual intimacy outside of marriage, we urge you to repent and flee from fornication, for that would grieve the Holy Spirit and cloud discernment. We pray that if it is God’s will, your courtship would lead toward a Christ centered marriage that honors Him, and that both of you would be firmly rooted in the true gospel and in a faithful Bible believing local church where the Word is rightly handled.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 If you have not already, we encourage both of you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. Romans 10:9-10 It is the truth of Jesus that sets us free, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:32 and that truth is revealed in Scripture alone.
For wisdom in your conversations with her, we pray you will be guided by grace and truth. We encourage you to ask God continually for wisdom, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. James 1:5 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. Colossians 4:6 and speak the truth in love. Ephesians 4:15 The Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but be gentle towards all, able to teach, patient, in gentleness correcting those who oppose him: perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth, and they may recover themselves out of the devil’s snare, having been taken captive by him to his will. 2 Timothy 2:24-26 Do not argue harshly or coerce in return, but ask thoughtful questions, compare every teaching to Scripture like the Bereans who examined the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. Acts 17:11 Keep notes, stay calm, and involve a trusted pastor or mature believer for counsel and support. Pray and fast for her eyes to be opened.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only mediator and Savior. We lift up this brother and his girlfriend to Your throne of grace. We ask for Your spiritual protection over both of them, that You would put a hedge around them and cover them with Your wings. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. Psalm 91:1-2 Put on them the full armor of God that they may stand against the schemes of the devil. Ephesians 6:11
Lord, we ask You to expose every lie, every hidden deception and every coercive tactic of this cult. Shine Your light into darkness and let no deceit remain hidden. Open her eyes to see the manipulation and give her a love for Your true Word that she may test all things and hold fast to what is good. We pray for her deliverance, that You would lead her out of that snare and into the freedom of Christ, and that she would come to know or return to the true gospel of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus alone.
We pray for physical and emotional protection for both of them. Guard their minds from fear, confusion, guilt and anxiety, and guard their bodies from any harm or retaliation. Cast all their anxiety on You because You care for them. 1 Peter 5:7 Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
Father, grant this brother abundant wisdom, discernment, patience and sensitivity. Fill his mouth with gracious words and his heart with Christlike love, so that he may speak truth without harshness and show steadfast love without compromising truth. Help him to be a faithful witness, to listen well, to pray without ceasing, and to trust Your timing. Strengthen his own faith as he studies Your Word daily and walks closely with You and with other believers who can support him.
We pray for their courtship, that You would purify it, guide it, and align it with Your will. If it is Your will, lead them toward a godly marriage that glorifies You, rooted in shared faith, purity and commitment. Establish their steps and let Your will be done in their lives.
We thank You that You hear our prayers when we ask in Jesus’ name. We trust You to act in power and mercy to protect, to deliver, and to restore. We give You all glory and we wait expectantly for Your answer. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
