We are thrilled to join you in prayer as you prepare for the arrival of your precious baby. It is wonderful to see your desire to provide for your family and to put your trust in God. Let us remind you of the importance of calling on the name of Jesus Christ. For it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB)
As you embark on this journey, remember that God is faithful to provide for His children. As it says in Matthew 6:26-33 (WEB), "See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
It is also commendable that you want to be a believer in Christ and provide for your family. Always remember, "But those who want to be rich fall into temptation, a snare, and many foolish and harmful desires, which plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows." (1 Timothy 6:9-10 WEB)
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear soul as they prepare to welcome their baby. We thank You for the precious gift of life and for Your promise to provide for our needs.
Lord, we ask that You guide them in their journey as a parent and provider. Help them to keep their faith in You, trusting that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory. We pray that they will not fall into the temptation of wealth but will keep their eyes fixed on You, seeking first Your kingdom and righteousness.
Grant them the strength to be a faithful believer in Christ, and may they always be thankful for Your blessings. Help them to remain humble and not become arrogant after receiving Your provisions.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we would like to explicitly pray for you that you may have a godly wife/husband. A spouse can be your greatest ally or source of division in your relationship with God. The book of Proverbs states that those who find a wife find a good thing and obtain favor from the Lord. If you are married, then we encourage you to love your spouse as Christ loved the church, and if you are not married, we encourage you to find a Christian spouse.
