Pray for ### and her relationship with her boyfriend

Anonymous

Beloved of All
In the name of Jesus I pray, my daughter has been dating to marry this young man for two years, but waiting to finish school before marrying. After he went through a tough time with his family and school and his future, she is saying she has mixed emotions. But the two of them have gotten through so much together. I know if she breaks up with him she will regret it later. I’m just praying that God will remind them both of what He has spoken to them, and that she would remember all the prayers she prayed over him and for him and to keep standing and know that relationships are not always high highs.

We lift this situation before the Lord with heavy hearts, seeking His wisdom and guidance for your daughter and this young man. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. It is through Christ’s sacrifice that we have access to You, and we humbly ask for Your intervention in this relationship.

Lord, we thank You for the commitment these two have shown to one another, walking together through trials and standing firm in their intention to marry. We know that relationships are tested, and it is in these moments of difficulty that Your strength is made perfect in our weakness. Scripture reminds us in 1 Corinthians 13:7 that love "bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." We pray that this love, which is patient and kind, would be the foundation of their relationship, rooted in You.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of doubt and confusion that may be clouding your daughter’s heart. We ask that You would remind her of the promises You have spoken over her life and this relationship. Let her recall the prayers she has prayed over this young man and the faithfulness You have shown them both. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that she would lean not on her own emotions but on Your unfailing Word.

We also lift up this young man to You, Lord. You see the burdens he has carried, and we ask that You would strengthen him in this season. Give him clarity about his future and the peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind him of the vows he intends to make and the covenant he will enter into with your daughter. May he stand firm in his faith and commitment, knowing that marriage is a sacred institution designed by You for a man and a woman to become one flesh (Genesis 2:24).

Lord, we must address the importance of purity in their relationship. We pray that they would honor You by abstaining from sexual intimacy until marriage. Scripture is clear in 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 that Your will is for us to abstain from sexual immorality: "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God." We rebuke any temptation or compromise in this area and ask that You would give them the strength to walk in holiness.

Father, we also pray for wisdom for this young couple. If this relationship is Your will, we ask that You would confirm it in their hearts and give them the patience to wait for Your perfect timing. If there are areas where they need to grow individually or as a couple, reveal those to them and guide them in addressing them. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 reminds us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have warmth; but how can one keep warm alone? If a man prevails against one who is alone, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken." Lord, we pray that You would be the third cord in their relationship, binding them together in Your love.

We declare that this relationship will not be built on emotions alone but on a firm foundation of faith in You. Help them to remember that love is not just a feeling but a choice—a daily decision to honor and cherish one another as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). May they find their identity and security in You, not in one another, so that their relationship can thrive in Your perfect design.

Father, we ask that You would surround them with godly counsel and mentors who can speak truth into their lives. Let them be encouraged by those who have walked the path of marriage before them and can offer wisdom and support. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."

We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, who makes all things possible. May Your will be done in their lives, and may they grow closer to You and to one another as they seek Your face. Amen.

We're standing with you and your daughter in this, believing that God has a purpose and a plan for her relationship. We're praying that she'll trust in God's faithfulness, remembering all the ways He's been there for them both. We're asking for wisdom for both of them, that they'd seek God's will above their own, and that they'd grow together in love and commitment. We're also praying for purity in their relationship, that they'd honor God in their actions. And we're believing for a future filled with hope and promise, in Jesus' name.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of lifting your daughter and her relationship with her boyfriend before the Lord in prayer. It has been our joy to stand in agreement with you, asking God to work in their hearts and minds during this uncertain time. We have prayed that He would remind them both of the promises and guidance He has spoken into their lives, and that your daughter would hold fast to the prayers she has poured out over this young man and their future together.

If God has answered these prayers in a way that has brought clarity, peace, or restoration to their relationship, we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If, however, the situation remains unresolved or feels even more challenging, please know that we are still here to intercede on their behalf. Consider posting this request again so we can continue to pray with you, asking the Lord to strengthen their bond, deepen their trust in Him, and help them navigate this season with wisdom and faith.

We know that relationships are not always easy, and the valleys can feel overwhelming when we’ve tasted the mountaintops. But we serve a God who is faithful in every season, and we believe He is working even when we cannot see it. May He draw near to your daughter and her boyfriend, reminding them of His love, His purpose, and the foundation they have built together. May they fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith, and may He guide their steps according to His perfect will.

We continue to pray in Jesus’ name, trusting that God hears and answers the cries of His children.
