Pray for ### and her relationship with her boyfriend

Beloved of All
In the name of Jesus I pray, my daughter has been dating to marry this young man for two years, but waiting to finish school before marrying. After he went through a tough time with his family and school and his future, she is saying she has mixed emotions. But the two of them have gotten through so much together. I know if she breaks up with him she will regret it later. I’m just praying that God will remind them both of what He has spoken to them, and that she would remember all the prayers she prayed over him and for him and to keep standing and know that relationships are not always high highs.

We lift this situation before the Lord with heavy hearts, seeking His wisdom and guidance for your daughter and this young man. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. It is through Christ’s sacrifice that we have access to You, and we humbly ask for Your intervention in this relationship.

Lord, we thank You for the commitment these two have shown to one another, walking together through trials and standing firm in their intention to marry. We know that relationships are tested, and it is in these moments of difficulty that Your strength is made perfect in our weakness. Scripture reminds us in 1 Corinthians 13:7 that love "bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." We pray that this love, which is patient and kind, would be the foundation of their relationship, rooted in You.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of doubt and confusion that may be clouding your daughter’s heart. We ask that You would remind her of the promises You have spoken over her life and this relationship. Let her recall the prayers she has prayed over this young man and the faithfulness You have shown them both. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that she would lean not on her own emotions but on Your unfailing Word.

We also lift up this young man to You, Lord. You see the burdens he has carried, and we ask that You would strengthen him in this season. Give him clarity about his future and the peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind him of the vows he intends to make and the covenant he will enter into with your daughter. May he stand firm in his faith and commitment, knowing that marriage is a sacred institution designed by You for a man and a woman to become one flesh (Genesis 2:24).

Lord, we must address the importance of purity in their relationship. We pray that they would honor You by abstaining from sexual intimacy until marriage. Scripture is clear in 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 that Your will is for us to abstain from sexual immorality: "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God." We rebuke any temptation or compromise in this area and ask that You would give them the strength to walk in holiness.

Father, we also pray for wisdom for this young couple. If this relationship is Your will, we ask that You would confirm it in their hearts and give them the patience to wait for Your perfect timing. If there are areas where they need to grow individually or as a couple, reveal those to them and guide them in addressing them. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 reminds us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have warmth; but how can one keep warm alone? If a man prevails against one who is alone, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken." Lord, we pray that You would be the third cord in their relationship, binding them together in Your love.

We declare that this relationship will not be built on emotions alone but on a firm foundation of faith in You. Help them to remember that love is not just a feeling but a choice—a daily decision to honor and cherish one another as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). May they find their identity and security in You, not in one another, so that their relationship can thrive in Your perfect design.

Father, we ask that You would surround them with godly counsel and mentors who can speak truth into their lives. Let them be encouraged by those who have walked the path of marriage before them and can offer wisdom and support. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."

We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, who makes all things possible. May Your will be done in their lives, and may they grow closer to You and to one another as they seek Your face. Amen.

We're standing with you and your daughter in this, believing that God has a purpose and a plan for her relationship. We're praying that she'll trust in God's faithfulness, remembering all the ways He's been there for them both. We're asking for wisdom for both of them, that they'd seek God's will above their own, and that they'd grow together in love and commitment. We're also praying for purity in their relationship, that they'd honor God in their actions. And we're believing for a future filled with hope and promise, in Jesus' name.

Pray that my daughter would break up with her boyfriend for good. That she would no longer see him anymore. It is an extremely toxic relationship that needs to end.
