We lift up our sister in Christ and her family before the Father, knowing that He is their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The trials they face as refugees in a foreign land are heavy, but we take heart in the promise that our Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Though they may feel displaced and overwhelmed, we declare that God has not forgotten them—He knows their names, their struggles, and their deepest needs.
The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 46:1-3**, *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling."* Even in this unfamiliar land, God is their stability. He has not abandoned them, and He will guide their steps as they seek Him.
We also cling to **Matthew 6:31-33**, where Jesus assures us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Our prayer is that this family would fix their eyes on Christ, trusting that He will provide for their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Even in their stress, may they experience the peace of God that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:6-7**).
Yet we must also remind them—and ourselves—that trials are not without purpose. **James 1:2-4** tells us, *"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."* This season of hardship is refining them, drawing them closer to dependence on God. May they lean into Him rather than despair, knowing that He is working all things together for their good (**Romans 8:28**).
We also pray for divine connections—believers in this new country who can offer practical help, encouragement, and fellowship. May the Lord open doors for them to find a community of faith where they can worship, serve, and be strengthened. Let them not forget that they are part of the body of Christ, and even in a foreign land, they are not alone.
Lastly, we pray for supernatural provision—whether it be housing, work, safety, or wisdom in navigating the challenges of their new environment. May the Lord go before them, making crooked paths straight and shutting doors that should not be opened. Let them walk in the confidence that the God who led Israel through the wilderness is the same God who will lead them today.

**Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister and her family, lifting their burdens to You, for You care for them deeply. Lord, they are weary, stressed, and in need of Your tangible presence. Comfort them as only You can, reminding them that they are not forgotten. Give them wisdom in every decision, provision for every need, and peace that transcends their circumstances. Surround them with Your angels, protect them from harm, and lead them to a community of believers who can walk alongside them in this season.
Break the spirit of fear and anxiety that may be gripping their hearts, and replace it with Your perfect love that casts out all fear (**1 John 4:18**). Strengthen their faith, Lord, so that they may testify of Your goodness even in this trial. Open doors no man can shut, and shut doors that would lead them astray. Let them see Your hand moving on their behalf, restoring what has been lost and making a way where there seems to be no way.
We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Amen.**
